It's February 6 now in Asia, therefore New Year's Eve? :)

I refuse to call it a Chinese New Year, because I think that name is indicating ignorancy. It's celebrated in countries other than China (Singapore/Taiwan) eg. Vietnam, South Korea and Malaysia (?) :sly:

Other than that,

HAPPY NEW YEAR! :D

May some of you guys have lots of money in your red envelope/lai si/hong bao/li xi  I won't get any, since I already got it during Christmas somehow :)

It's already 4705 according to the lunar calendar, funny how we're actually 2697 years ahead of the Western calendar :)

Do you have any idea what it's like to spend CNY in China? It's like the easiest time to die! So many crazy people on the streets holding chickens or geese by the feet and carrying 'em home. Can't even go out to shop 'cause the shops are small and it's so overly crowded. I think I'm gonna catch something while I'm here.

p.s. the Chinese are surprisingly gifted at enduring the cold. I always thought they'd wuss out and stay home in this weather. But I'm still the only one in the city/province that could rock a t-shirt in this weather. :)

p.s.s. Sun Nean Fai Lok. Goan Hay Faht Choy. Sun Tai Gean Hong. (Happy New Year. Congratulations on your prosperity. Have good health.)
