Japanese songs by BoA ( ) = album FT

Nothing gonna change (LTMY)
Moon & Sunrise (Valenti)
Love & Honesty (L&H)
Everlasting (OUTGROW)
Long Time No See (Outgrow)
With You (Outgrow)
First Snow (Outgrow)
Brand New Beat (MIT)
Our Love ~To My Parents (MIT)
No More Make Me Sick (MIT)
Love Letter (The Face)
In Japanese (The Face)
Smile Again (The Face)

Korean Song ( ) = Album/Single Ft

Dear my love (NO.1)
Realize ~ Stay With ME (No.1)
Double (Double)
Moon & Sunrise (Rock With You)
Merry-Chri (Merry-Chri)
Shine We Are (SWR)
Moto (GOT)
Love Can Make A Miracle (GOT)
Freak In Me (GOT)

Is that All????

This is a list of songs that BoA either composed or wrote lyrics for I think.
Because she 100% def. did not compose MOTO, MOON & SUNRISE, Everlasting, etc.
I didn't know she wrote lyrics for stuff like MOTO and Everlasting though..
are you these are correct?

Actually, the only ones I'm sure BoA composed are Nothing's Gonna Change and LOVE & HONESTY.
I'm sure she wrote lyrics for MOON & SUNRISE, LOVE LETTER, and I think Smile Again.
I've really never heard of the other ones.. o.o
I don't think she ever composed a hit or even any regular A-side.. at least none that I know of.

I don't think she's ever fully written & composed a complete song except for Moon and Sunrise. She usually helps in some lyrics or small portions of the tune for some songs but not in it's entirety...

Yeah! I totally forgot about that! BoA wrote Gyappu ni Yarareta !

BoA's good at writing cute songs XD.

BoA also wrote Joyful Smile I think . . .

You should see the official lyrics, I think she added smiley faces on it like v(^w^)v

That's part of the problem. Every single person who's involved in the writing of a song is credited. Even if they wrote 4 words. If you read some of the credits in J-Lo and Madonna's songs, there's an astronomical number of people credited. It's insane!!! It also adds to the royalties collected. However, for some strange reason, artists who co-write songs are actually entitled to less royalties than those who don't. Labels have something called a controlled composition clause which allows them to only pay the artist who co-wrote 75% of the mechanical royalties even though the artist is entitled to 100% and owns 100% of the song's publishing rights. That might be part of the reason BoA is accredited to some songs. I remember her stating that she usually just gets involved in writing some of the lyrics and that Moon and Sunrise was the only song she fully composed...

Yah, that's the way I always thought. I mean...in the booklet it always says Written by: BoA and etc. and I find that really vague (then again, who cares?) Who knows how much BoA wrote in that song...maybe she added the last sentence to the song lmao xDDD or this could happen vice versa, but I doubt BoA/SM would let anyone touch a piece of writing/music that BoA has completed 90% of since it's sooooo rare that she does so.

The only time when I believe BoA really contributed to a song is when a song is fully composed/written by her

Edit: Props to BoA for fully composing Moon and Sunrise...she sang it really well in BoA '06 although her expressions were kinda...over the top....

iirc BoA doesn't have a song called "In Japanese" >.>

lmfao xDDD

You forgot "Garden in the Air;" there was this news article I saw on BoA's soompi thread that listed the songs she wrote for Girls on Top album, and listed were "MOTO," "Freak in Me," and "Garden in the Air." She also wrote "With U," the B-side on her "Do the Motion" single. And yeah, there's been speculation on BoA writing "Love Letter," since she did state in an interview she herself came up w/the concept and stuff... like she was discussing what love was w/one of her co-workers and they started talking about how nice it was to recieve a love note, haha.

Are you referring to actual songwriting, or just writing lyrics?

BoA fully composed First snow, I know that for sure.

It was even stated it was BoA's first solo composition (?)

Gyappu ni Yarareta is probably BoA's funniest song, the lyrics itself is so funny, and the tune so comedic.

Plus BoA got the inspiration after her staff was talking about how when they fall in love, like how love just suck you into thinking they are the one, etc.

Like falling in love for a geek when you thought your type were the jocks.
