NYC and California are no slouches in the high cost of living department, either. I've stayed in Vegas, and there are plenty of well-priced hotel rooms at the national hotel chains that have hotels there. Unless you want to stay at some exclusive, ritzy hotel, in which case the sky's the limit.

I used to live in Phoenix, and people in Phoenix, Flagstaff, etc., go to Vegas a lot, because it's nearby. There are Asian markets in the Phoenix area, too; that's where I used to buy Japanese CD's and manga magazines. And cute origami paper, LOL!

Plus, BoA will never make it here in the USA unless she appeals to the majority of people, who are non-Asian. It's good that they're getting her music beyond the coasts for a change, so that new people will be introduced to her music.

Finally, I don't think the club would have that kind of an event if they thought nobody would show up. Contrary to popular belief, places like Vegas and Phoenix are a lot more than watering holes in the desert nowadays. Even Scottsdale, which used to be a one-horse town, has a very trendy club scene.

I think this Vegas thing is a good idea--get BoA's music heard by new people. For too long, she's been preaching to the converted, and it's time for her to rake in some new followers!

But they need to have her appear at venues where it's not 21+ all the time. She needs younger fans in order to do well in the USA.
