Well it's a bit taboo for them to be a fan of non-Japanese and Westners I mean >_<!

BoA's Japanese music are very high quality but recently they stink, well IMO, if you don't think so I guess we have different taste.

Basically BoA's Japanese music went downhill around 2007 for me....

I'm wondering what songs BoA will perform in the XMAS LIVE.

Also if BoA will release a single, I hope it's epic, I don't want something that sounds bland/rushed/half-assed.

I do agree BoA's recent Japanese music stink, bland, blergh

I agree, now Avex is just going downhill, music production is bad, mv is bland, lyrics are cheesy, even their trump card Ayumi Hamasaki has been getting lousy songs for a while now. I just hope she doesnt stick with Avex cuz it is sinking.

Japan had BoA for 5 years, Korea has had her for what almost 2 months now lmao? I hope she does the wise thing and just comes back to the states after the korean promo is over, Japan could wait.

Provided they do BoA's promotion RIGHT this time, I agree with you. She deserves success outside of Asia.

It's a shame, though, that BoA isn't doing so well in Japan nowadays, because it's so nice not having to worry about all the hateful drama that goes on among South Korean fans. Those a-holes have driven some Korean celebs to suicide, yet they still never learn to grow up, stop hating, and enjoy their favorite artists.

I did not quite like the idea when I saw the title, but I was quite relieved to know that it will be for two days only

Why you guys complaining?

BoA got back into Korea and did very well.

At the same time however the nwe K-pop fans don't know who the hell she is.

The comeback is succesful but face it, to these new generation K-pop, BoA's just nothing to them compared to these idol groups that dominate the top 10 charts.

BoA holding an XMAS Concert in Japan is merely a birthday presen to the SOUL fanclub members.

If anything BoA's Japanese fans are just as supportive as BoA's Korean fans. Remember BoA's a korean, and it's still consdiered tabboo to even idolize non-Japanese and non-Western singers.

Yes, the new K-Pop followers might not care who she is even after her comeback, but let's just wait for the year-end shows :) In Korea that's when she shines the most on stage, and I'm pretty sure she'll be able to outshine most of these groups :D

UPDATE
BoA back in Japan for Christmas lives

Korean superstar BoA has announced that she will be back in Japan for a set of Christmas lives.

This year, she will host her Christmas concerts at the Tokyo International Forum, Hall A. Previously, she held a spring live this past summer, “BoA LIVE TOUR 2010 ~IDENTITIY~,” to promote her newest album.

This Christmas show will be a one man live with her as the star, and shall take place on December 20th and 21st for two nights only. Tickets go on sale November 20th to the general public.

Although BoA has been promoting her new album in Korea, it is nice to see her lining up shows for the Christmas season. It is traditional for Japanese artists to have Christmas and New Year’s shows, and it just goes to show how acclimated she is to the Japanese music scene.
