SHINee is the 'Beatles of Asia!” “There hasn’t been such a fever since the Beatles.”

Japanese Sports Newspapers Highlighted SHINee’s showcase at ‘Abbey Road Studios’ in London!

K-pop fever in Europe to be introduced as well

Japanese sports newspapers highlighted ‘JAPAN DEBUT PREMIUM RECEPTION in LONDON’ which was held at ‘Abbey Road Studios’ in London on 19th and has created high expectations.

On 21st, 6 Japanese sports newspapers, including Sports Hochi, Junichi Sports, Sankei Sports, Sports Nippon, Nikkan Sports and Daily Sports published extensive reports of SHINee's showcase held at ‘Abbey Road Studios’ in London, UK.

In particular, Sports Hochi described about 1,000 of fans waiting in front of ‘Abbey Road Studios’ by quoting from officials that "There hasn't been such a fever since the Beatles.” And also, they gave a special meaning by explaining that “to perform at a sacred place where masters, such as Stevie Wonder and Rod Stewart, have performed is the first milestone for Asian artists. SHINee has taken the first step towards making their mark in the global music scene."

Moreover, by mentioning SHINee’s speech, "we wish to go down in history just like the Beatles," and also mentioning the success of SMTOWN LIVE concert in Paris, they stated that SHINee’s popularity in London and K-pop’s popularity has been growing remarkably.

Junichi Sports reported, "SHINee is the 'Beatles of Asia,' first Asian artist to hold live session in Abbey Road Studios" as the newspapers' headline article and stated that "SHINee showed full potential with their outstanding dancing and singing ability.

In addition, Sankei Sports also delivered the news of SHINee fever in London by stating that “An enthusiasm since the Beatles,” and Sports Nippon reported “SHINee made the first step toward the global marketplace.” These broad interests of SHINee are proving how Japan has a high expectation for SHINee’s debut.

Meanwhile, SHINee will release their Japanese debut single "Replay" on June 22nd(today) and will attend "MTV Music Video Awards Japan(VMAJ)" which will be held at Makuhari Messe in
Chiba, Japan on June 25th.

I believe they're called the BEATLES ^^"

And Beatles of the Asia ? =) =) LMFAO !! Puh-lease, are you kidding me ?

^ I believe when Justin Bieber or Lady Gaga came to Europe, there were WAY more than 1000 people gathered to see them

I always hate the self-claimed tittle that the media put on the artist like "Britney of Asia" "Backstreet boys of Asia" or "Beatles of Asia" blah blah blah , that's just totally obnoxious, stupid & wrong.

Are you being sarcastic right now? The Beatles have way more talent than SHINee and SM TOWN combined. This is coming from a BoA fan.

This whole thread is an insult to the Beatles. I'm off listening to Let It Be and Hello Goodbye, I grew up with the Beatles music playing in my house thanks to my dad.

Whoah there I'm not trying to insult Beatles, I just posted this to see if anyone else was flabbergasted by this comparison and how blown out of proportion the Asian Media made this. Even I who hardly listen to the Beatles (though I love their song Strawberry Fields) acknowledge how they were truly a motivational aspect and true artists of music. Excellent lives and their music composition . . . . that far exceeds . . . no offense to SHINee . . . choreogrhapic learning and refined vocals. The comparison of SHINee to Beatles using popularity as the connection makes no sense what so ever. If one was going to compare anything to the Beatles the main basis of comparison would have to be for innovative music means.

If I remember right, it was a written post found on SM ent's official facebook page

http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=209710522405123

Searching for this SHINee column through SM listed articles on their facebook regarding their artists, it was no surprise that I didn't find any individual articles regarding BoA. You would think that they post something Cobu related since it's a different step they're taking but i guess it's nothing really . . . If they don't post any later when the actual movie is going to premiere . . . dear Lord

O_O -> was my expression.

There's no way SHINEE will be the next Beatles or even surpass Beatles. Beatles are legendary group.

I also think that reporters shouldn't use a popular singer name and apply it on another singer as "future blah blah blah".

I actually hear it a bit. I think they mean their performances and stuff and how well they sing.
