My father's side can be so rude to my mother as if they never really accepted the fact that she is married to him.
I see my mother's brothers and children more often and am much more closer to them. With them, she is more unrestrained and can be herself. We joke around all the time with my aunts and uncles on that side. Even with my grandparents!
I call them weird in Korean and they call me an idiot and laugh with me about those sorts of things.
My father's side is rather..conservative and strict.
They are rude to my mother and sometimes she cries because of it, even if something wasn't even her fault. I can't stand when they do that, but I can't say anything to my father's parents because...they're my grandparents and nobody would allow it. It would cause more pain and stress for my mother if I were to say anything. That's not to say that I don't love them - they can be very nice, and I grew up with my father's parents taking care of me partially up untill I was 9.

But I look exactly like my cousin from my dad's side. I mean whenever i smile my dad says i look like her cause we have the same rare nose, same body, its hilarious to fool them when we're together! haha.
