According to a proposed new law that would go into effect Mar 21, 2006 you will no longer be able to use a cell phone while driving unless you have a "hands free" adapter. I went to Circuit City and they wanted $50 for a headset with a microphone for my cell phone. Having a friend in the cell phone business, I talked with him and was able to come up with an alternative, working through Office Depot.

These kits are compatible with any mobile phone and one size fits all. I paid him $0.08 each because he bought in quantity. Then we tried it with Motorola, Sprint, Verizon and Nokia units and they worked perfectly.

There's a pic below so scroll down & take a look and let me know if you want one.

Laws don't scare me. :hug:
But when momma says don't talk on the phone while driving, then momma will not see me talking on the phone while driving.

Yeah, I thought so too. Didn't that law already existed for at least a year?
But maybe Choopy is from a country where it hasn't gone into affect yet?

anyway, funny pic Choopy! :hug:
Have a great day too!

Lol! Nice pic ;P 'tis a great idea.

But about the whole law thing; I think I know why they changed it. Just recently, a woman was driving while talking on her cell, thus having only one hand on the wheel. She wound up turning too fast, spinning off the road, flipping the car twice, leaving it to come to a stop upsidedown. The woman driving got her arm severed off. And stupidly enough.. the cellphone was still clutched in the hand that was detached from her body. And what's worse is that she had her friggin' daughter in the car with her as well! =.=

I heard this news just this morning on a radio station (Mix 96). Maybe that accident is what caused the new law to be finally confirmed? ..Perhaps. >.<

.. :hug: Wow. Seiko is hecka slow today.. [Finally understands that it was all a joke] =.=;;;

whoever is in charge of this law should give us free headsets. i think this law went into effect in my state in jan 2006, but i don't care. nobody cares. i don't even think the cops care, cuz i always use my cell in front of them while i'm driving. if using a cell phone w/o a headset while driving is illegal, so should eating, shaving, smoking, etc. or if it's the whole talking and thinking that causes a distraction, what about...eating, shaving, smoking while talking to someone in the next seat. those are equally distracting as using a cell phone.
