Posted ImageIn a survey posted on Jukeon, a Korean website dedicated to K-Pop, BoA has been ranked #1 as the K-pop artist most likely to succeed in the U.S. A total of 2856 people have participated in the survey, and 32.7% of them, 935 people, have chosen BoA over other K-pop stars such as SE7EN and Lee Hyori.

Following BoA most closely was Ivy, a relatively new female artist whose song 'Sonata of Temptation' has been wildly successful in Korea recently, as SE7EN came in third. Lee Hyori has fared surprisingly poorly—she has received the second lowest number of votes.

Rain was not included in the survey since he has already announced definite plans on entering the U.S market.

Here are the complete results of the survey:
BoA - 32.7%
Ivy - 25.5%
SE7EN - 17.4%
Lee Hyori - 15.0%
Fly To The Sky - 9.4%

Hmm, wow this is interesting. Fly to the Sky was included in this poll? o_o;; They are like my biggest obsession like.. ever. XD Too bad they got the lowest votes. But then again, it's not surprising, I never expected them to go to the U.S to be successful. ^^;;

Knowing the american taste of music.. I don't think BoA would have the most succes there.
Hyori would have more succes because her music is more R&B and hiphop.

I highly doubt FTTS and Se7en will even break through in US market.

Wow!~ Cheers!

BoA is still No.1 to Koreans! So supportive of her!

Fly to the Sky?! I like them as well...cool! They got into top 5 because Brian is American Korean or something? Rite?

honestly, even though Hyori was second last, her style of music is what I think people in America would like. Se7en should be 1st since his English is better than all of the others(except brian in FTTS of course), plus his style of music would get him far.

Its sad but BoA is probably not very likely of success here....likely because her English is horrible and her sound is waaay too poppy. :/

Haha~
WELL DONE!
Definitely BoA has a strong and competitive image in Korea,
but you never really know the American tastes,
and I doubt BoA would have any schedule in conquering the US market at such early stage,
afterall she still has to improve her English (first)
and I think it is better for BoA to conquer the Chinese market (if SM has any plans for her to do so)
since US market is just too risky,
Hikki is a good example.
SM would need to prepare a well-planned schedule for BoA before doing so.

Congrats to BoA! I'm surprised though. I would have thought that Hyori Lee would have done better. I can't really see BoA as successful in the US as Hyori. Well if BoA comes here, I would support her!

I think she should try the European market first. Many international artists got their first break in Germany or France before going big in the USA. USA market is so hard to crack because there music is more about money than pleasing people with good music...

Haha, funny thing FTTS got in last since Brian is the only one who speaks perfect english. Silly people.
