I still do this a lot...It's hard getting used to the right way of saying it.
Well, I used to pronounce BoAjjang wrong...I still kind of do now xD! Even though a bunch of people say 'Its Bo-uh-jung' but I say 'jang' instead of 'jung'...;!
When I first heard BoA, I thought she was Japanese too. It wasn't until I started listening to her a lot that I found out she was Korean.

It can be spelled either way, Kwon or Gwon. For that matter, BoA is often pronounced "PoA" in Korean, because an initial B has a harder sound.
The one thing I always notice it people spell her name Gwon, I don't know the rules in korea or other contries when it comes to last names but it bothers me...

No, it's Korean--it more or less means BoA's the best. If you watch BoA's Korean perfs, esp. around the No. 1 days, you'll hear the crowds chanting "BoAjjang! BoAjjang!"
EH!?!?! It's not pronouned 'jang'!?!?!?!?! How does that work? I mean... for the Japanese pronunciation.. wasn't the jjang part Japanese?
