BoA hasn't been to the FNS Kayousai since 2005... anyone know why?
is it because her CD sales are not strong enough?

(as a side note... why are all of JE's artists there. even hey! say! jump is there...)

LOL, that's not the reason at all. Last year Winter Love sold 100k and she still didn't go to FNS. Nanairo sold pretty good, as well.

This year she's also NOT performing on MS Super Live and Best Artist 2007. She performed Nanairo on both events last year.

Seriously, why do people say her singles sell like crap?

Do people even understand the market out here? Anyone he constantly debuts their singles in the Top 5 is a HUGE success. I guess it's just annoying when people say things that really have no logical backing behind it.

Also, BoA has never been a Singles Chart topper; she's had one #1 single... and she was the first foreigner to do it in over 20 years... and it's also a feat that hasn't been repeated since.

It basically boils down to schedules and personal preferences; why didn't BoA appear at a-Nation? avex bills her as their 4th top female artist (behind Hamasaki, Koda Kumi, and Amuro Namie... but, in front of Otsuka Ai)... now, why wouldn't avex want one of their top tier performers at their biggest event? Well, she was taking a much needed vacation and doing some work in South Korea.

Now, she's working on her Christmas concert, reparing for Rhythm Nation, and she'll be hitting up the Japan Record Awards and Kohaku. She has enough on he plate... just like the other artists that declined to show up. Even with the amazing collaborations, this FNS Kayousai seemed kind of "meh."

Nobody gets it....as budonkadonk said, the market is currently going done at the moment, Oricon might even start including digital sales because CD sales are slipping, Love Letter adn Sweet Impact didn't seel much but digital sales were still pretty popular.

Thanks for the clarification, Budonkadonk!
BoA is still doing fine. If not, she wouldn't be invited to this year's Kohaku!

Yea I was wondering what's going on with BoA?
since end of year normally is ULTRA BUSY for an artist,
all those TV shows and awarding ceremonies that she has to attend,
but this year seems to be somewhat 'blank'.
Thought there might be sth to do with her single sales or sth;
esp. in FNS, I was like "woah" when I read the artist list,
I think the list was pretty niceeeeeee,
YET they haven't got BoA on it!!! ><
our BoA is just toooooooo busy ><
