I just want a 30 second snippet or at least a snippet of the music video, does SM usually release a teaser before the album release? Been so long since HV I forget lmao
SM is known to release some SMALL snippet at some point prior to releasing the MV. I.E. f(x) with electric shock. They have a 25 second teaser that simply showed all the girls and played a SMALL portion of the song.
SM is letting it happen actually it's the same with f(x) and suju case right now. suju is making comeback after f(x) 2-3 weeks. BoA could be like that doubt she can win against suju/ 2ne1 though. Shinee was an easier rival.lol ELF this time will make sure suju got triple on Mubank;
Suju isn't promoting right now. Their comeback stage is set on the 5th. Comebacks can't get votes their first week, their first week of "awards" is their second week back. The 7th will be f(x)'s third week, that will most likely be Suju's Comeback stage on inki or m!net, so they won't be messing that up at all. After three weeks, I think the performer can't get any more wins. I think in 2010, the rules were different for music shows. At that time, BoA had won in her first week back, that's why they overlapped and it got messy for SM. I think they automatically assumed Shinee would finish out with the triple crown and the next three weeks would be BoA's. Now, with the rules changed, they don't have to worry about artists being back to back and messing up awards (when really, I find the awards kind of 'meh' I mean, it's exciting to hear someone won for best that week, but fans hold it too high in my opinion). If it weren't for the olympics, BoA would probably be coming back right at the end of July, on the 26th (a day before the olympics is set) but now we'll have to wait, probably, till around the 16th of August. It's only logical for SM to wait. I wouldn't want her to compete with Suju (ELFs are crazy...I mean...CRAZY! Korean ELFs have gotten into fist fights with Korean Sones (SNSD fan club). I would rather they support (or be neutral) BoA, not be against her) let alone the 2012 Olympics. She's BoA, but, I am sorry, the olympics come once every 4 years. I don't get the hype because I don't really watch sports, but some people take time off and fly to where ever it is being held just to watch it!
Can't they just take all the fans from BoAjjang and Derek fansites and have us all watch it together? haha! I know we would all pay to go see the final product, but perhaps we would have more insight on what should be done to improve the quality of the film from both a bias and moving loving perspective (I love movies...and dance)
BoA hasn't done a "double" comeback in both Japan and Korea in a long time. Also, Avex Trax doesn't seem to have much interest in BoA anymore. I think when her contract is up, BoA needs to sign with EMI Japan or Nayutawave like Shinee or SNSD. They promote them rather well. Granted, it is most likely due to their current popularity in Korea and also how popular Korean music is in Asia.
When BoA does comeback, what concept do you hope SM Entertainment has for her? I think we can all agree that Hurricane Venus was a bit too much make up and not enough of "natural" BoA. With the image BoA posted on her twitter of herself at the cafe, it looks like a more natural look. Doesn't look like they're trying too hard. Fingers crossed.
I am ready for BoA to show those people who is boss all over again.
Goodness, this fandom some days. I am not saying they need to buy her album and listen to her stuff, but show some respect and accept the fact that she has been in the media for 12 years. She's considered a legend in Korea and just because you're a new Kpop fan from North America that only listens to groups, does not mean people in Korea don't support her. I have been told too many times that BoA and all the older performers need to retire and "let the new performers shine!" If the performers are great enough to out shine BoA or Se7en or Shinwha, more power to them, but I don't think they need to give up their career to make it "easier" on the other performers.
Most of the time, their groups are big fans of BoA. They show her a lot of respect. I just wish their fans would do the same =(.
With f(x) coming out. SM could wait about two or three weeks until BoA comes back. I don't think Suju will comeback before BoA though. They will probably have f(x) come back, than BoA the next month, then Suju the next. We don't want a repeat of what happened with Shinee fans that got all upset about BoA "messing up" Shinee's triple crown.
The film is another dance flick where BoA plays the character of Aya, who is Korean but was brought up in Japan and followed her brother to New York and becomes the leader of a cobu-dance group. Cobu is a combination of Japanese traditional Taiko drumming and tap dancing. The film is also set to be, Dancing with the Stars professional dancer, Derek Hough's Hollywood debut film.
After months of waiting, Adler announced on Monday that the film is finished and fans should "Stand by for some news hopefully before end of June!" After a number of unofficial dates "announced" within the COBU 3D fandom, are we finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel? Let's hope so.
Coming off of that news, after talk of a 2012 comeback for BoA, a SM Entertainment representative stated that “It is planned that an album will be released along with her movie as well.“ So it looks like BoA will be having a fall comeback and a fall movie debut. Sounds like a busy schedule for our BoA.
I don't know about the choreographer...I have looked up a couple of her things on youtube and I am just not impressed. I wasn't impressed with the Ne-Yo MV, so I went on, with a positive attitude, youtube to find more of her stuff and it's just... .
It does seem "smooth" and kind of MJ like in the Ne-Yo MV, however it is missing SOMETHING. MJ was known for his smoothness and precision, but also kicking it up a notch. I like to think BoA is also like that where she puts her own spin on it and makes the move awesome. Perhaps BoA will be able to help mold the moves.
My biggest concern is how the choreography looks so typical. I do some of those moves in the Ne-Yo MV in the game Just Dance 3 on my Wii...
Also, her style isn't about a person standing out and being to "perform" in the sense we're thinking of.
I am an avid Tumblr fan. I have noticed that there aren't very many BoA related gifs on the site, funny or just tribunal.
This thread will be for BoA related gifs. (Member made or not. If you have NOT made the gif, please give proper credit. If credit is not given, the gif in the post will be deleted and you will be warned)
BoA's stage presence along with her dancing skill is what always gets me. She moves with such ease, yet puts so much power and energy into it that watchers just have to be amazed. Popular choreographers all over the world have commented on her power and precision when it comes to dancing.
Kahi, Min and Hyoyeon are fabulous dancers, there is no denying it. Yet, BoA just has this special "UMPH" behind the way she moves that I have to put it just above them. I am trying not to be bias behind it at all because I love them all, even though I do genuinely love BoA more.
Congratulations on checking something off of your bucket list!
I have always loved Brian, even when he was with SM Entertainment. It is good to understand why him and BoA were/ARE great friends! He is always funny, so lucky to see him live and hear his jokes haha!
Kpop concerts are so exciting, I am happy you got to experience one. Here's to many more =D!
Comeback confirmed for BoA!...in Japan, Korea, or the US??? Korean website, Nate, posted an interview with SM Entertainment representatives stating that BoA has been preparing for promotions for not only her debut Hollywood movie, COBU 3D, but also for an album. But is it really safe to say that this will be a Korean album? Or could this go along with her US movie and be an English album? And what about her Japanese anniversary? Many fans are abuzz with the news and are waiting eagerly to hear clarification. The rep was quoted saying that with BoA being involved with "Kpop Star" there as been a "rediscovery of BoA" amongst Kpop fans. No matter where the promotions are headed, it seems like 2012 will be a busy year for BoA. Not only with her being involved as a judge on "Kpop Star" but also promoting her movie and album.
What are your thoughts on the news? What are your hopes for? A Korean, English, or Japanese album?
Stronger eyebrows are more of a "model" thing. Look at Brooke Sheilds, she was a model before becoming an actress and that is all anyone talked about.
It is sort of a love or hate thing.
I remember the photoshoot Zanarkand linked to. I positively detested it. Not because of the eyebrows, really, but because of the thing as a whole. The photoshoot made her look either sick (like, flu sick) or manly.
This, however, is feminine and "high fashion". Yes, the eyebrows are over powering in images like #1. But, personally, I love the look at a farther distance. I absolutely adore the last image, as well as #2 and #3.
