Question about hand made wristbands from thailand

I recently recieved a couple as gifts from when i was in Thailand, and any ideas if they are sturdy? They look well made and are similar to the ones in the image below
Given the work i do, i do not wish to tear them or damage them as they may be suddenly pulled upon.

Hence did anyone ever have these wristbands and are they strong?

Forgive the poor editing, these bands arent mine and they originally have vulgar language, i pulled them from a site so you can get a better understanding of what im refering to.
