I agree on the ISO, I don't often use ISO as high as 800, except for the concert in L.A. I was sitting in a pretty dark corner >"<
BTW, thank you for the Flickr link, is it possible if you enable downloading for that album so I can save some pics which aren't in here ? :)

p.s: hey hi-5 for Nikon users !! ;)

Added you to Flickr so you should be good to grab the original file sizes. Enjoy

Let me know if you still have problems downloading the high-res files.

Thanks for the info :notworthy: I will visit you Flickr :)
I was asking about the ISO cuz I thought the ISO was a lil too high, but it was actually not, 800 is about right for low light environment.

Actually you are absolutely right - it was high at 800. Actually with the concert stage you're good between 400-600. Which, of course, I discovered on the fly while shooting that night. Chalk it up to inexperience, but when BoA got out on-stage I think all principles of photography went out the door for me. <_<

Here's the flickr set for the entire concert:

@[email protected] so many pics !!!

OMG I hate those shorts of hers

p.s: if you don't mind me asking, what ISO did you set for your camera when taking those pics?

At one point between songs she was talking to the crowd and actually commented on her shorts being too short... <_<

About the camera settings - dont mind sharing at all.

ISO 800 was what I used. I actually have all my photos up on Flickr as well, so if you want to take a look at specific shots and see what the exact settings were, you can always do that too. It all depends on the song though, and knowing the choreography helps (which i'm sure BoA fans have no problems with! ). When she first came up on-stage, I had no idea what song she was performing, so I set to ISO 800 and cranked up my shutter speed (to avoid blurring). But if you realize she's doing a song with slower dance moves, I would dial it back down to ISO 400'ish and shoot at a slower shutter speed to reduce the amount of noise in the shot!

Hope that made sense!

Holy Moly!  It's either you had a really good seat or you had a very good lens with high zoom (or BOTH) :o . Did you have a media reporter badge or something ?
Best fan-taken so far I've seen !!
Thank you for sharing, more pics from you would be highly appreciated :notworthy:

Thanks!

I was sitting in the 3rd row stage right. Decent seats. Sat right behind the SM Ent executives and a couple seats down from Teddy Riley (producer for SNSD's The Boys). Of course, I had no idea about any of this at the time I bought the tickets. Kind of a last minute thing to go to the concert, but worked out well.

I wish I had a press pass! Maybe one of these days............ :)

Here's the rest of the shots that I took from her first set of performances. I'll post the ones from her other performances later

Anyone in Canada looking for this? If you are let me know. I am able to order in copies to one of the big retailers in Canada but I can only do it if there's enough demand for it...
