Avex network

23 September 2007 - 02:02 PM

I have peerguardian 2. Lately, I've noticed that my PG2 has blocked avex network from connecting to my computer. It happens as I enter the boa downloads area especially the non boa downloads. At first, I thought it was coming thru someone's banner that wouldn't load. It always happens as I enter that area. Any idea where it's coming from?

Signature Song

21 July 2007 - 03:36 AM

What is BoA signature song?

A signature song is a song that people closely related to the singer even if the singer has many other popular songs. For example, Britney Spears is ...Baby One More Time or Oops!.. I did it again. Sir Mix a Lot's is Baby Got Back. I thought it might be My Name ,but being a BoA fan for only a year or so doesn't make me an expert. I thought I'll ask more knowledgeable BoA Fans.

So what is BoA's signature song?

2. Kiss & Cry (Nissin Cup Noodle FREEDOM Theme Song)
3. Fly Me To The Moon (In Other Words) -2007 MIX-
4. Beautiful World (Original Karaoke)
5. Kiss & Cry (Original Karaoke)
6. Fly Me To The Moon (In Other Words) -2007 MIX- (Original Karaoke)

EDIT: According to Sanspo.com, “Beautiful World” is an “uptempo but sad” song, and is said to match the film very well. They also mention that the creator of Evangelion is a fan of Utada, and asked her to participate.

“Beautiful World” is the theme song to the upcoming “EVANGELION Shin Geikjouban: Jo” film which will be released in theaters on September 1st, 2007. Additionally, “Fly Me To The Moon (In Other Words) -2007 MIX-” will be used in the EVANGELION trailer which will begin airing starting on June 30th. The original “Fly Me To The Moon (In Other Words),” off of the 2000 single “Wait & See ~risk~,” was used as the ending theme to the televised version of EVANGELION back in 2000.

The single also contains “Kiss & Cry,” the current theme song for Nissin Cup Noodle’s FREEDOM Campaign.

Be aware that since Hikki's record company changed from Toshiba EMI to EMI Music Japan, her official website link has changed. It should immediately redirect you to the correct one.

New Topic Bar?

09 June 2007 - 06:17 AM

This isn't a real problem, but just curious. You know on the side where you usually see bars of different colors signifying if it is popular, locked, or moved or something. Lately, I have been getting the words 'New Posts' or 'No New Posts' instead of the corresponding bar. Did I click something or is everyone getting this?

Wheelchair DUI

08 June 2007 - 09:12 PM

So a guy in my class who is in a wheelchair brought this article in and we had to debate about it.

TORONTO (Reuters) - A Canadian man was sentenced for drunk driving after being pulled over on his way home from the pub in his mother's motorized wheelchair, police said on Thursday.

Patrick Shanahan, 35, was fined and placed on probation by a Toronto-area court on Wednesday in the impaired driving case.

"I don't need a license to operate it, I don't need insurance and I don't need licence plates to operate it," Shanahan was quoted by the Torstar News Service.

"So how can I be charged with drunk driving?"

The charge stems back to December 2004, when an officer saw Shanahan driving the wheelchair at around 1:15 a.m. and assessed that he was drunk, a police spokesman said.

The self-described alcoholic, who has a prior impaired driving conviction -- though not in a wheelchair -- later admitted he shouldn't have been driving the three-wheeler at the time, Torstar reported.

Shanahan was prohibited from driving any motorized vehicle for one year, was fined C$600 (286 pounds), given 18 months probation, and ordered to seek counseling.

While we were debating this, I heard some really interesting POV's. The guy who brought the article in said he deserved it because that is the law and if you break the law you should be penalized. This made no logical sense to me because people who are in wheelchairs cannot walk home drunk which is legal. If we follow his logic it would mean that would mean if I was walking and he was in a wheelchair and we were both drunk(and of legal age :) ), the police would fine the guy in the wheelchair because technically his operating a vehicle while under the influence.

I really wanna know what is your Point of View.

BTW, let's assume that Patrick Shanahan is supposed to be in a wheelchair because the article wasn't clear on that matter.
