In Topic: Is YG Entertainment the solution to the Korean music industry?

20 January 2011 - 04:23 PM

Well, even if they are a solid company that doesn't really exploit their idols, I don't think YG is the so called solution to Korea's music scene. Especially because 95% of their productions are cheap as hell, even their ballad singers are autotuned to fit into the current trend, and they barely have two or more producers for all their artists; one of these producers being TEDDY, the most unoriginal in Korea nowadays. On other hand, Pledis, for example, is a very open label. Their artists (Son Dam Bi and After School) have lots of control in their career and aren't that much overworked, since the company is quite small and it wouldn't make much sense if they were.

I think Hwanhee's dance stage was pretty hot. He can't dance but it was cool. At least, it's better than this boring title track he's currently promoting.

Oh God, I don't even know why I'm awake but... I am, lol. It's 6am here and she'll be the last to perform (probably at 7am) so I'm completely messed up.
