What are some "Pump Up" songs?

26 May 2006 - 02:14 PM

Inspired by the workout topics, and the fact that my friend had asked me before she went out to workout...

What do you think are some good "Pump Up" songs?

What music do you like to listen to (or recommend) when you go to the gym, when you exercise/workout, dance, etc...

What really gets ya going while building up a sweat? What's on your workout playlist? Any favorites/suggestions?

Personally, some songs that help me are:
Some Super Eurobeat albums
Space Jam, Rocky (Gonna Fly Now, Eye of the Tiger), & Mortal Kombat Theme Song
Missy Elliot - Lose Control
Timberland ft. Fat Man Scoop - Drop
T.I. - Bring Em Out
BoA - Be The One
Hyolee ft. Eric - Anymotion
Fort Minor - Remember the Name
Black Eyed Peas - Pump It
...and many more, lol...

"American Idol 5" finale topic

23 May 2006 - 02:33 PM

I thought I'd post a topic concerning the last two nights of this year's American Idol competition.

Starting with...tonight! Kat vs. Taylor, 8/7c

On Location: The 'Idol' Finale

May 23, 2006

It's McPheever vs. the Soul Patrol when KATHARINE McPHEE takes on TAYLOR HICKS tonight for the final performance show of the fifth season of "American Idol."

"They are singing three songs each," says executive producer KEN WARWICK. "Two will be their favorites from the series. Taylor is doing 'Levon,' the ELTON JOHN song, STEVIE WONDER's 'Living For the City' and what will be his new single if he makes it: It is a song called 'Do I Make You Proud.' Katharine will sing 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow,' which she was just fabulous with last week. It is probably the song that put her in the finals, to be honest. Also, 'Black Horse and Cherry Tree,' and her single is called 'My Destiny,' quite appropriate really."

On tonight's ET, our MARY HART is at the Kodak Theater as preparations are underway for the big showdown. And, as if the contestants aren't nervous enough, TERI HATCHER, DAVID BOREANAZ, JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT, TORI SPELLING, MANDY MOORE, DAVID HASSELHOFF, CHRISTINA APPLEGATE, EMILY DESCHANEL, MIMI ROGERS, CAMRYN MANHEIM, BRIAN WILSON, ADRIAN GRENIER and SHANNON ELIZABETH will be in the audience.

Then on Wednesday night, CARRIE UNDERWOOD will be on hand to sing and to crown the new "American Idol," as will season two runner-up CLAY AIKEN. Another special finale will be a duet between MEATLOAF and Katharine.

Who do you think will win American Idol 5?

20 May 2006 - 09:57 PM

American Idol 5 is coming to a close this week, and I was wondering two questions:

Who do you think SHOULD win American Idol 5?
Who do you think WILL win American Idol 5?

Personally, I think Taylor Hicks SHOULD and WILL win this year's competition. I'll definitely be voting for him. Sorry, I think Katharine can sing and all, but she doesn't appear too original, in my opinion.

For all you Amazing Race fans...

An idea popped into my head, while reading this topic: http://forums.boajja...showtopic=62546

My question:

Who would you take with you, if you could be on the show "The Amazing Race"?

Realistically speaking.

Lol...yes, I know it would be nice to be on the Amazing Race with BoA for the experience of a lifetime, but let's be real.

Personally, I think I'd take one of my friends from high school, simply because he's athletic, intelligent, great with languages, and has good interpersonal relations.

EDIT: Ok, I take that back, if you can't think of a real person or would like to have two answers, then if you could bring ANYONE with you, who would it be?

I think I'd bring Rick Steves from the show "Travels in Europe". =P

What would you do if you had a chance to...

Imagine you just won a raffle. The prize?

Hang out with BoA for a day! Woohoo! ;) :D :P

What would you decide to do for that day?

As for me...I know I wouldn't try flirting with her, that's for sure...wouldn't want her to be scared of me, lol...

...maybe do something that is different from what she's used to, besides dancing, singing, etc...
...something simple, like feed ducks at the park. ^___^

...even thinking about this puts a smile on my face...I can't even begin to imagine...=0
