#2303677 So apparently BoA has a new song coming out...

Posted by kitzutsuita on 13 January 2016 - 04:52 PM

God awful it just seems like there's never a release from BoA that just grabs everyone's attention anymore .. her fans are so critical of her lol... The lyrics are so good.. The song is phenomenal. It's on repeat now.. and her english pronunciation is ON POINT!!! SO MUCH EMOTION!! This song is just SO GOOD!! (All opinions are my own, haha).

Edit: I'm reading youtube comments, and they're all saying the song is good. This is so good for BoA!! As most of her new releases are mixed feelings.. This one majority of people loved it. Maybe this year will be her "next" peak!!! One can be hopeful! :D

#2276475 [Album] [03.09.2014] WHO'S BACK?

Posted by kitzutsuita on 14 September 2014 - 03:28 PM

This statement right here is completely unwarranted. How am I an "anti-fan" exactly? And thank you for insulting my intelligence, last time I checked my responses had a proper introduction, body and conclusion. There are legitimate points.

If you don't like me bringing it up every single time then you are free to ignore it. But don't label me an "anti-fan" just because I am critical. I have never attacked or bashed BoA, my comments are genuine concerns on her career.

When I see responses like this, its a sign of really insecure fanbase that cannot take criticism. I always feel hostility when I post in this forum.

You feel the hostility because you sound hostile. You're like an annoying bird that chirps and chirps when most people here already know the ever-declining career that BoA has been on. No need to keep chirping in every single topic with the "truth". You've given your opinion on the album time and time again, and its that you think it will flop, it flopped, are you happy now? So quit the chirping because, warranted, one time is enough to kill the mood.

Like I have said in the past, give up your obsession over BoA and MOVE ON. It is unhealthy for you to keep being dissatisfied with pretty much every single one of her recent releases. If it causes you that much unhappiness that you feel the need to chime in your two cents about how she's going to flop, I suggest you see a therapist. This "love" or "obsession" is quite unhealthy.

^ You've voiced your opinion enough already... chill out :) I actually will buy this album because I usually don't buy her singles. Yay for me? lol

There's something about this MV that I love. Can't pin point yet. The song sounds like a song that plays when you're having fun with your friends. I like it. Wished it had a climax .. maybe the full version :)

#2275863 【Single】〖14/XX/XX〗BoA - MASAYUME CHASINGï

Posted by kitzutsuita on 30 July 2014 - 07:43 AM

This is why I'm sort of done with this forum. So many negativity (surgery talk, fan fight, etc).

People are and will always be complaining. BoA experimented with the album IDENTITY, which I LOVED, but many were saying the album generic when in fact, BoA had a lot of say on that album. She experimented with different genre (from ballads to sort of electro with LAZER) and people were still complaining.

Tail of Hope, Message, and Masayume chasing is anything but generic. There is no other voice and sound out there that sounds like BoA. In fact, her music never really sound like anything mainstream.

I especially love Masayume Chasing and I wished it sold better but I'm not going to go on and on and on about her sales declining, etc.

This forum have become too critical of BoA. Its like every time I come here I can't see one single topic where it was a unanimous "cheer" for BoA.

Love this video~ Upbeat and fun for a summer song.

And it's cute, not childish. It's cheerful, attractive, pretty, happy, free, and loose. Anything BUT childish.

Although I did expect a harder/faster choreography.

I actually don't mind the coarse voice. If her performance doesn't sound "right" to you, it could be her having throat issues, the weather, her schedules, and many other factors.

But sheesh, its like the same every single topic. Always some sort of criticism/comparisons/etc... Aren't we being a little too critical? Sometimes just enjoy, or don't enjoy :) Maybe its just you all have so much passion in BoA's work that got you worked up :)

#2253771 BoA summer 2013 Jap new song/single

Posted by kitzutsuita on 04 June 2013 - 10:35 PM

Anyhow, I like the song and Mashimaro's opion doesn't change the fact that I like it.

This built up of irration doesn't stem from the post he made in this topic, but from the numerous negative straight up bashing BoA posts, and those containing the so called criticisms- in which he goes into greath lengths to explain why BoA could've of , should've of, but didn't, etc..

Moving on... I only come here to discuss what I think of the song in the excitement that BoA released an upbeat song after her strings of sad/melancholy/slow tempo songs. And that statement by saying its weak (when he did say he like it too), annoyed me.

Sorry for the outburst everyone! I do realize we are not in high school anymore ;] Good day.

This is why this forums has gone to *insert word here*. This is a FAN forums for FANS
We are to support BoA with money, thought, whatever. As long as there's admiration or interest, we are still fans.
You can dislike her release, but don't rain on the parade of people who likes it. Simply say that you hated it. No need to explain. Nobody gives a d___.

Mashimaro has countless times put BoA down, gave many negative *criticisms*, and acting like he's an expert in music, the music industry, and how to do things properly or something. Get over yourself, Mashimaro

BoA is a human being, her companies are made of humans, and humans tastes are subjective. They make mistakes, they experiment, they get disappointed, they fall and they learn. Nobody is perfect. What sounds good to you, may not sound the same to others.
Do you study music? Or do you base your assumptions and judgement on your already negative bias about BoA?

What tires me is that EVERY F******* time, you have to chime your two cents in. If you dislike her releases, MOVE THE .... ON.

Or if you despise the way she does things now or her music, go and do something ACTUAL about it instead of sitting here and complain on each and everyone of her release.

Remember, nothing is perfect. You either enjoy it or you don't. And since you have no direct control or input over her music, her decisions, or anything that relatively relates to her career, you can shut your trap and save it for personal messages. I like the song, it sounds refreshing from all of her latest sad themed releases. Let me and others enjoy it.

------------------------------

I do praise BoA. BoA's English album to me is awesome. Sure it did horribly sales wise but that to me was taking risk and doing something different, with pretty awesome songs. Energetic is a jam. I felt that was one of the times BoA actually put a lot of effort and SM Entertainment and avex trax backed her up in that era.

Identity was a mess though just in all levels but I feel BoA learned a lot from that, looking at Hurricane Venus and Only One it seems BoA has learned not to rush everything and plan it right.

Hurricane Venus was exciting and disappointing at the same time. Image wise it was exciting and cool, but sound wise it was like every other K-pop song out there, it did not stand out. It was BoA following the mainstream for the sake of it and trying to look edgy and cool wearing pots of flowers on her head. I really loved GAME and Copy & Paste though, sexy but only in a teasing way.

Only One was OK, the songs were good. I liked the choreography. But it seemed safe to me, like I've seen BoA do that before. Other than that, everything is pretty flawless with Only One. BoA looks and sounds fresh, like fresh laundry or a summer breeze in the beach.

Tail of Hope is giving me beach vibes definately. Its a good song its just weak for a single. As someone previously mentioned it is simlar to Key of Heart, except Key of Heart had much more energy and life into it! Not to mention the cute music video, it was like Disney, and some might not like that, but I loved it because if you're to go cute why not make it Disney-sounding? :D

Only one was a safe choice? You know she literally made that song her title instead of what the company wanted, The Shadow? That is safe to you? Did you even watch her performance and her explanation of why she couldn't dance and sing at the same time in her first few performances? That it was a hard routine to be able to sing with? Did you know that she also risked it by composing it?
Don't even go there. She had many say in her comeback this time around. Its definitely no where fits your definition of safe.

How do you know what tails of hope is weak for a single? And does it really matter if its weak or not? Did you enjoy it? if you did then get OVER your own opinion whether its weak or not.

Why do you assume that she was trying to look cool and edgy during Hurricane venus promotions? Can't she BE cool and edgy? Why are there so many judgmental tones from you towards BoA?

And please, don't even try with the half-assing compliments/praising so that you can continue with your train of negativity.

BoA, like other people, go through phases. And in the music industry, she has to go through different image to try and maintain relevancy.

#2253653 [Italian fans] Fan account translation

Posted by kitzutsuita on 26 May 2013 - 07:39 PM

BoA is definitely not rude. We've seen many fan cams of her.
True in Asian people:
1. If we're not smiling, we're (thought) to be angry.
2. When we wave politely (as in hi but i gotta go), they see us as stuck up. - "Who do you think you are to ignore me?!!!>?"
3. When we refuse to do their homework, (in boa case - take picture), they say we're smart asses.
4. When we pretend to laugh awkwardly with our friend so that the people bothering us would leave us alone, they see it as we're stuck up and laughing at them and ignoring them.

Life. Is. So. Difficult!
Can't. Make. Everyone. Happy.

So in my conclusion - BoA may seemed cold/rude/or whatever but I'm sure after many years of following her from fan cams to concert cds, to tweets, and etc... She is not a rude person. Just an extremely shy and introverted person.

That's my two cents! ;]

#2243033 K-Pop Star Contestant - Andrew Choi covers Only One (Eng Ver.)

Posted by kitzutsuita on 14 January 2013 - 10:16 PM

In no way can I sing better, or sing at all.
Now that's aside...

His voice is annoying. Very breathy and thin (usually that fits with Only One). However it didn't work for him.
I cringed when he tries to hit the high notes :/

Lyrics was nice - but that's about it. Imagine if you had to hear his voice without the music. I think he should stick to song writing/composing.

Very bland song :/ It has subtle beats like LAZER but its nowhere near as good!

#2238509 'Gangnam Style' = good news for BoA?

Posted by kitzutsuita on 21 September 2012 - 05:16 AM

Pretty harsh with some of these opinions. We can argue about who is more talented forever. I guess for the most part it will come down to personal preferences. I'll be glad to defend BoA against any of those artist. She doesnt deserve second place to any of them. What does she lack? certainly to me anyway she has pesonal appeal that is lacking in each one of the other artist.

.......

BoA deserves more respect than you are willing to give her in context to the other artist. You are under appreciating her talent and diminishing her. Are you really a fan?

Nice post. I just read what he said about BoA.

Pink has better songwriting skills than BoA. Lady Gaga has better creativity than BoA. Britney Spears just know how to pick good pop songs (something BoA isn't so good at in my opinion). Mariah Carey? Really? Come back to me when BoA hits those high whistle registers. Beyoncé? You've got to be kidding me, BoA can't even match Beyoncé. Christina Aguilera? Are you for serious right now?! Christina Aguilera will blow BoA's ass all the way back to Korea with one gigantic high note belted out like the world depends on it.

I think you guys are giving way too much credit. I'm a BoA fan and to be honest what BoA lacks the most is a pure specialty. BoA is the jack of all trades, but master of none. Dancing? Ciara, Nicole Scherzinger and Beyoncé can beat her easy. Vocals? Say hello to Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Adele, Leona Lewis, etc. Song-writing? Even Shakira has better songwriting than BoA to be perfectly honest.

.... I don't even know how to respond to such outrageous remarks. BoA is the jack of all trades but her specialty is dancing. Don't you know? She will hands down beat ciara and nicole in dancing, hands down. Compare their works and BoA has WAY more outstanding performances/harder routine. (Based on what Ive seen ciara and nicole can do). Beyonce? read my previous post. Everything in bolded is borderling BASHING. You should get banned for this. It is your opinion, but you are rudely expressing it. There is a fine line of bashing BoA and giving your opinions, and I think you just straight up bashed her. I think its time you give up being a fan. Cause I am seriously tired of your endless negativity towards BoA. Get the heck off of this forum if you don't have anything nice to say.

I could go on and on with you to defend BoA against those artists but I won't. Since your biased and prejudiced mind is already determined. Sure, we here at BoAjjang are biased towards BoA but we give credit where it deserves. YOU, on the other hand, don't. You constantly, constantly, bash BoA in a "subliminal" way. But today, you totally straight up bashed her. I am done with you.

#2238494 'Gangnam Style' = good news for BoA?

Posted by kitzutsuita on 20 September 2012 - 01:43 PM

BoA is the jack of all trades. However, I think BoA is better in dancing than Beyonce. Point blank: Beyonce got the bones, the thighs, to thrust and dip and etc. BoA, on the other hand, has the eloquent and flow in her dance moves. She doesn't need to pop, drop, or any of that stuff.

In my opinion, NO GIRL in the US is a better dancer than BoA. No Ciara, or Beyonce can dance like BoA. And its unfair to compare them. They have different styles of dancing.

And I'm sorry, Lady Gaga creative?... Personal taste I suppose.
