#2302938 Kiss my lips ALBUM Hanteo daily sales and Gaon numbers

^ Rain had 9 tours overall and 4 in Korea.
His first Korean concert happened 2 years after debuting.

Well... I don't know BoA personally so I can't agree or disagree with this. But the fact that she was hurted by Kiss Mi Lips' charting makes me think otherwise.

And when was that? 2005. Where was BoA? Being more succesful in Japan and releasing her last korean album before going on hiatus. You're missing a lot of details. Idols tours weren't popular, Rain's tour had two korean shows and the others were in other asian countries... BoA was supposed to make a japanese tour to support her next album. Would you expect her to make 2 tours a year? LOL.

As much as I want BoA to have huge promotions and stuff... I always think that she doesn't want this for now and SM is ok with the way she wants her carreer to be. Simply, cuz BoA doesn't need to be profitable anymore, her slave days are gone and she can do whatever she wants whenever she feels her material is ready.

She seems so happy making her own music, developing her unique sound and maturing as an artist, maybe she doesn't want the spotlight and the pressure that comes with it. After all she is BoA and her status can be a burden.

I also think some stuff can't be compared.. BoA only had her korean concert in 2013 because these type of concerts weren't common for idols back then (how many tours Rain and Lee HyoRi had, for example?) and she was too busy and tired and making more money japanese tours. Also, the fact that she was inactive in Korea for several years.

You guys need to chill. The music industry is different now. BoA is different now. Even SM is changing. BoA's been the hardest working idol for many years, maybe she doesn't want her life to be as hectict as it once was.

#2238287 'Love the way you lie' @ Beautiful concert. What do you think?

I liked it, but I didn't love it. Her adlibs were great, however, it was a bit too nasally at some parts. It was kind of a let down after her awesome lives of "Only One" on sketchbook and "Standy By" on U&I, I thought she had finally fixed her over the top nasally singing. That's the thing with BoA, she's inconsistent. There will be bad performances, passable performances, and plain jaw dropping amazing performances. :( I still enjoy watching them all the same though.

*PS, I'm talking about non-dance performances btw.

And her inconsistense is so annoying. LOL I think that more than inconsistent, she's unconfident.. to the point that she doesn't even risk it because she thinks her voice will crack. It's wierd, becuse i feel that, in the past, when she wasn't a very good singer, she went for it... and now that she's improved, she holds back. Everything about her singing is better: placement, projection, control, breathing and everything that you have to do to sing better, but she got stuck in the "i'm not a very good singer as i am a dancer" thing that ppl has been telling her for years.

I didn't loove this cover at first, but then i listened it in a better quality and it sounds better. I think BoA is very good at covering.. and it shows that she's not an ordinary singer. I mean, an ordinary singer would try to sing the song like the original... like karaoke. But BoA always does her own rendition, puts her own feelings and makes the song her own.. if i didn't know the original, i'd think it's hers, because she owns it completly and makes it better.

This is what balances her ballad perfomances, i guess. She may not be a confident singer to belt it all out when the song asks for, but she's a great interpreter and knows how to use her voice to fit the feelings of the song.
