I was just thinking,
Brian was from New Jeresey, somewhere in the east, and he made it to Bros Ent, etc etc

My question is: Was he already-like, good at korean? Was he fluent, did he understand, etc?
Or did he have to learn a lot? Because when i see him on TV he's good at speaking...and from soompi i read that he went to church in korea im sure

his korean wasn't very good since he grew up in New Jersey where basically he grew up speaking english
but his parent made him speak korean at home cause korean is their "mother" language
so in order to improve his korean.......he listened to lots of H.O.T songs
that's how he improved his korean

Brian was born in LA, though he grew up in NJ .. kyaarr he still messes up his Korean sometimes but ahh well theres always room to improve and as long as native Koreans can understand him enuff and his English is still not fobby =]

He knows korean but it wasn't very good considering he grew up in new jersey and went to a university there then came back to Korea

He is very fluent in Korean. When he first joined SM, his Korean was not very good at all, and Hwanhee and others made fun of him because of it.

Does that also go for Eric from Shinhwa? Becuz man, he can speak pretty good english in Shinhwa's songs....but come to think of it, i've never heard him actually speak in english, like in conversation....

nope brian isnt good at Korean when he first came to SM, but Hwanhee, BoA, and other members helped him to it ^^
