Anata (the most polite form) : it’s the way to say “you” to someone that older, the same age, or could be younger than us…but one thing for sure when we say “anata” to someone we talked to it’s mean that we honour them.
Something else…”anata” often to be said by wives to their husband, or someone to her/his boyfriend/girlfriend.
Ex : anata…nani shiteru no? (honey…what are you doing?) So we have to say “anata” when we talk to BoA ^ ^
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Anata is definitely
NOT POLITE,
I mean it's not RUDE saying Anata,
but my sensei told me NEVER USE "anata" all the times,
it's uncommon in Japan!!!
I mean it's okay for a wife to call her husband "anata",
but not us calling BoA "Anata",
she would consider you being rather rude to be honest!
So I would advice you to call BoA "
BoA san" rather than "anata"!!! (If you notice in those TV shows, they call BoA "BoA san" all the times, THEY NEVER USE "ANATA", right?!?!)
You can only use "anata" when you are familiar with the person,
but not to the ELDERS ONE,
you will be killed (of course in an exaggerating way

)
But try not to use "anata",
you should call "the stranger" by name "
Family-name + san",
rather than "ANATA"!!!!!
P.S It's completely impolite to call an person older than you "ANATA" as in You!!!

i only know about hitotsu/hitori and futatsu ... any more?

Let me help you to finish it!!!
Btw, sorry if I wrote the romaji incorrectly,
since I never use romaji!!!
How many? =
ikutsu
1 = hi
totsu
2 = fu
tatsu
3 = mi
ttsu
4 = yo
ttsu
5 = i
tsutsu
6 = mu
ttsu
7 = na
natsu
8 = ya
ttsu
9 = ko
konotsu
10 =
too
100 = h
yaku
1000 =
sen
BOLD = the sound should be
STRESSED!!!
ps. after 10, you just use normal numbers for counting!!!
e.g. 11 = jyuichi
Let me give you a few more:
tabemono = food
nomemono = drinks
tsuyoi = strong (same as tsuyoku, but you use it in a different way!)
Your own family, you would call:
haha = mother
chichi = father
otouto = your younger brother
imouto = your younger sister
ani = your elder brother
ane = your elder sister
musuko = your son
musume = your daughter
When you want to mention
someone else's family member,
you should say:
okaasan = mother
otousan = father
imoutosan = younger sister
otoutosan = younger brother
oniisan = elder brother
oneesan = elder sister
musukosan = his/her son
ojyousan = his/her daughter
You must say it correctly,
especially if you dun know the person that you are talking with very well,
in order to show your respect for them!!!
