I was fortunate enough to go to Tao here in Las Vegas last night and see, meet, and get BoA's autograph! Unfortunately no photos were allowed during the signing. Anyways on to the night:

For those who weren't aware, BoA made a stop in Las Vegas at Tao Beach inside the Venetian Hotel Casino:

So of course I had no choice but to buy a couple tickets for a friend and myself (the two of us met through BoA-Nation's forums!). Note that the left side of the ticket has the date 3.20.09 while the right side of the ticket has the date March 30, 2009 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I got the the Venetian at around 7:45-ish and decided to get some dinner. There was no way people were lining up at 7:45 if the doors opened at 10:00 PM, right?

Yeah...I was right actually. After getting some dinner I went over to the entrance to Tao and asked the bouncer about the event. He directed me outside to the balcony and said that the line would be forming there. After going outside and not seeing a line I found a promoter for the event. He handed me a flier for the event and said that I was the first one to get there; I was really early.

After hanging around for a bit and finding another person waiting for the event, my friend calls me and says that she just arrived at the Venetian. After meeting up we decide that with only a couple people currently waiting, we can go grab some dinner for her.

So after her dinner we head back to the balcony and see that they roped off an area for the line to form...and there were 7 people there. Persons number 6 and 7 decided to leave because they didn't have tickets yet, and they didn't think they would be able to get them. After some people started filing into the line behind us I noticed that they had BoA's American CD in hand. I of course wanted one so I asked the promoters if I can buy one or have one. They just said to stay in line and not worry about it.

After waiting in line for a while (not exactly sure how much time passed throughout the night, I was pretty impatient and restless the entire time for obvious reasons...) a promoter came up and started randomly signing people's tickets. He asked if they had a CD and then signed their ticket, which guaranteed them an autograph from BoA. This got me discouraged when I did not have a CD and did not get my ticket signed...but minutes later another person came by and gave both Kim and I a free copy of the CD, and signed our tickets, guaranteeing us an autograph! One interesting thing is that the CD they gave out seemed identical to the retail version, however instead of a barcode it had a message "Not for sale" in the corner.

After being in line for over an hour and a half, and it being past 10:00 PM, the wait was killing me. I looked behind and saw that the line had filled up quite a bit.

While waiting in line I also got to see the volcano erupt at the Mirage Hotel casino.

Now by this point, around 10:30 or so, thirty minutes after the doors were supposed to open, everyone in line would be keeping their eyes wide open for BoA. Well somehow she slipped under all of our radars because I looked over randomly and was like "OMG it's BoA!" Everybody pulled out their camera's and tried to get pictures even though the line was far from BoA.

I failed at getting pictures of BoA, so Kim points out the obvious and tells me to just get out of line and get pictures while Kim holds my spot. This worked out rather well! I had to play paparazzi and push my way through the crowd of people to get pictures.

Best picture of the night!

BoA looks pretty tired and maybe even unhappy in some of those pictures. I figure it's because of the nonstop traveling and promoting that she's been doing for her American debut.

After that huge excitement we only had to wait a little bit longer until the bouncers started letting us in. We headed straight for the line to get BoA's autograph and did some more waiting and being bored (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) BoA eventually came out and sat a table set up for her to do the autographs. The bouncer immediately came to the line and informed us that no pictures were allowed at all. When people started taking pictures the bouncers pushed them away...so the pictures above are the only ones I got of BoA through the whole night. But I must say, just standing in line seeing BoA made my week! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) When I got up to her for her to sign my CD, I was speechless and all I could say was, "I've been a fan for a really long time." She THANKED ME in one of the cutest voices ever. We then spent what seemed like forever with me telling her how to spell my name...I'm pretty sure Anthony isn't a common name that she comes across (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) In the end she ended up spelling my name "Andhony" but it's okay (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Great pictures and it sounded like such a drag waiting for so long, but it was all worth it, I bet! And she looks great! Though a bit tired. :x And, hey, she called you "hony!" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I wonder if it's because she can't really distinguish her d's and t's yet. Cause in Korean, D's and T's is the same symbol (ㄷ) and it sound the same too.
