Everyone's saying BoA should stick to dance songs and not sing balalds?

Are those new K-pop fans stupid?

BoA's ballads have been hitting #1's even before they got into Asian music.

They don't know that if BoA didn't go to Japan:

TVXQ, Big Bang, etc. wouldn't be in Japan either.

Now they say BoA should stick to singing up beat dance songs...wow...

About that there's no TVXQ, Big Bang, etc in Japan without BoA, I don't wholly agree with that. Especually when it comes to TVXQ. Yes, BoA made them realize EARLIER that breaking into the Japanese market is possible, but hey, those guys reached the top because they gave 100% effort for their work. TVXQ did not start big in Japan remember. Their first album sold 15K if I'm not wrong. If BoA did not become successful in the Japanese market, they would've been successful just a little late I believe, just that.

What I am really frustrated about are the fans that say that their Korean artists who are new in Japan are the best, especially when they pinpoint that BoA is no match to them. Easily discrediting her stellar success until 2005, or even until 2006.

These new k-pop fans are just used to the hoook and dance songs since the past few years. This was when the new k-pop fans came in, therefore they do not really know the older artists like BoA and others.
Those became pretty like.. the trend so people got used to it.
Therefore other artists like Fly to the Sky, Wheesung and the older ones don't really get the recognition due to the over saturated idol groups. Something like that.
Idol groups nowadays are about hook songs, catchy dance, etc etc.

We can only hope that BoA will appeal to the masses, and not just the teens.

AHAHA! I have seen that, though you have to consider, that's just two performances. That Mariah song is One Sweet Day I believe. I'm betting that what made you think that their performance was bad was their accent, BoA isn't an exception either. It was really heavy when they sang those songs, but their voices were good (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
