We previously announced that BoA will star in a U.S. dance flick with filming beginning in early 2011. Now, it has been announced that BoA will make a special appearance in one of the most anticipated upcoming dramas of the year, ATHENA: Goddess of War. The drama is a spin-off of IRIS, one of the biggest, most expensive and popular drama of 2009. With IRIS getting great feedback, ATHENA: Goddess of War is expected to do the same. BoA will join fellow SM artist Choi Siwon of Super Junior, who has also been cast as a permanent character. ATHENA: Goddess of War is scheduled to broadcast in November. Hopefully, it will live up to IRIS, which had an average rating of 31.9% nationwide.

Update: It has been revealed that BoA will play a singer performing on stage, when she is taken hostage by terrorists and will be aided by character Jung Woo. She will shoot her scene for the drama sometimes this month.

In other news, TVDaily has written an article about BoA and Kim Heechul of Super Junior, showing off their close friendship. It's no secret how close the two are, with fans seeing them tweet each other all day long. BoA recently appeared his radio show, 'Kim Heechul's Young Street' as a guest on August 9th. A picture of Heechul looking at her affectionately was revealed on her twitter with a caption saying, "Taking pictures of each other during Young Street." Heechul also revealed a picture of BoA on his own twitter saying, "Let's take photos of each other during the radio broadcast."

Apparently, the two had been very close friends since his trainee days. BoA entered SM Entertainment at the age of 11 and released her first Korean album in 2000. Heechul was discovered through the Starlight Casting System October in 2002.

In regards to the photos, there have been replies such as "I'm really jealous of their close friendship" and "Take photos of each other often and upload them."

If it's similar to IRIS, ATHENA is gonna be all guns and seriously mwahaha! Maybe she's the BOSS LADY!

I actually saw people DIE by a GUN (or some kind of violence) in IRIS O_O I've never seen that happen before in any dramas I've seen!

Anyways... Wow I didn't really watch Iris since I didn't like the cast and I'm not a huge fan os the Secret Agent thing soo I didm't watch it however..... SInce BoA will make an appearance and Choi Shi Won is casted I might watch it.....hahahaha

Lol. Looks like everyone is getting off on the typo of 20111.   Actually I'm more excited for this role than the dance flick... even if it is only a special appearance.  It's expected for her to be in some kind of music/dance movie but this will show a different side of BoA.  I have no doubt she can act.  The Hurricane is still blowing!!!

YAY!!! So excited, wasn't an Iris fan, didn't really attract me, but was looking forward to Athenas because Cha Seung Won and Siwon, but now that BoA will make an appearance, I am way more stoked for it, I believe BoA will do a great job, let's hope she gets a line or two lol. I loved it when she made an appearance in the korean show, she played that snobby little girl, it was pretty good, maybe I'm just BoA-biased keke.

While this doesn't test her acting skills to the limits, but it's certainly a nice warm-up for the dance flick later..
but I was hoping she'd held some guns and kick some badass moves, cause with her blonde hair and the confidence she had in HV perfs, she'd ve been a sleek spy no? *_*

boa will make the ratings go higher and higher....she will be one badass women who shoots everything...except siwon...kekeke.makes me want to watch athena...but i only want to watch her cameo..huhu.

boa + heechul = HILARIOUS!!

heechul who known to be a great mc,great variety and good dj, combine with boa, 2 closest idols in fun scene everyday ^^....i think boa n heechul more close than sica krystal or sunny hyomin ^^..what i found is SM are really close with each other which i really like...with boa returning to korea,she always tweet her pic with other SM,so far with shinee,heechul,kyuhyun,yeonhee(ex SM)....i hope she will take selca with f(x) and snsd...snsd my fav girl group while boa is my fav solo. SMjjang ^^


she will appear in variety show sooner or later...she already in music program,radio,now drama...where else she didnot appear...variety!!!..she said she dont want but we dont know...time change people...lets hope so!! BoA hwaiting ^^
