BoA Kwon, a good dancer BUT not a good singer !!!

It's the article tittle that I found this morning in a blog this morning.

Boa  Kwon or well-knowned as Boa is a Korean singer, She has started her  singing career since she was at the age of thirteen, She released her  debut album ID; Peace B in South Korea on August 25, 2000. That's all about her bios.

Actually, I don't want to talk about her Bios but about her QUALITY or her singing  and dancing abilities. I've watched some of her videos, One day few  years ago, I watched one of her videos, I don't remember the title  though, I showed it to my friend, "She's quite good at dancing, but her  voice is just so-so it's too common" My friend said.

Boa is  average, At dancing, She is awesome but Since She is a singer,  she  should balance her dance skill along with her singing skill.  Her voice  neither has character nor capability of reaching high note.


The other day, I posted a comment on Her Youtube Video BUMP-BUMP  (Unfortunately that video is not That Bump-Bump lol)  and I said :  "She's good enough at dancing but her voice is lame, She needs more  practice ", See, I am not biased, right? I acknowledged both the good  side and bad side of her. but you know what, her lunatic, fanatic fans  or those bigots defend her furiously, What a bigots !!!


They  said that Boa is the best Asian singer  Whaaaaat ? Asian? Which Asian?  If it refers to East Asian, it might be, But if it refers to the whole  Asian,  They're totally wrong, they seem to talk through their hat, They  are less insight and ignorant, Poor them! They have to listened to  those terrific singers from southeast asian, such as Charice Pompengco, Agnes Monica, Jacklin Victor and many more. Boa's voice is truly really NOTHING compare to theirs.

Regarding  to Boa's LOOK, She's not ugly yet not beautiful, she's in between, She  is not sexy as well, she looks like most girls in general, after  wrapping up the whole thing, I sum up that he is  by all odds mediocre. That's it.

This is just going to create waves. I am taking the link of the blog DOWN due to the fact that I don't want BoAjjang getting a bad name for a number of members who will go over to bash this blogger. Yes, we might not agree with her points of view, however fanning the fire won't make it go out or solve anything. Post about the blog all you want but don't post the link. This will just cause more and more drama that is not needed.

Also...who CARES? This is a blogger who has a very SMALL following. It isn't like this is the first thing you see once you type in BoA's name into google or yahoo. Also, if I were someone new to BoA, I would simply type her name into youtube, instead of a blogging site. To me, this blog is nothing but a girl wanting to make her idol look better then another celebrity that has displayed some form of talent and is competition.

i got annoyed the beginning when they said she couldn't sing , now don't get me wrong she doesnt have the best voice in thye world but shes a GOOD singer! And it's true she doesn't have a voice like charice uggh , but she has a voice good enough for her to sound good . And charice cant really sing all that good , again dont get me wrong charice is a good singer . And when idk how she got the name best of asia , when its beat of angel

Some one just listened to some of an artist's songs and yet commented this and that on her voice? C'mon know, give me a break
Plus, who gives a damn what that person thinks? His/her opinions are totally not appreciated either wanted because he/she is no one in this world, why would I care?

Everybody has personal taste, he/she doesn't like BoA's voice? Fine! Move on!

- She is a great dancer and knows how to control the stage

- She is not a power vocal but she knows how put across emotions. I can't help but visit "BoA the Live" every now and again and just watch performances of her sitting next to a piano. So simple yet so powerful in her own way.

You don't even need to understand the language to be moved by this performance

I suppose you can say she is not a singer, she is an artist and performer

Well, I don't know what to say... I think this is the first time I've heard that someone says that BoA can't dance. I mean, everyone has their own taste in music, they might not like her voice or the way she sings but I think BoA is really good at dancing. I would like to know which singers does he/she think are good at dancing and singing. Now I'm curious.

No offense to any other fandoms, because every fandom has the extremists, but, I must say this one blogger is obviously no professional in the way they address fans and in this case, their analysis seems rather biased as well. Also, the blogger should polish up on their English and grammar.  
I know for a fact that a lot of people have preferences, but, there is a distinctive difference between not being a necessarily "powerful" singer and being a bad singer.

Yes, BoA is human. She's not perfect, even she has her flaws. I am a huge fan, like many here, so I know ultimately that will make my input rather..biased, yet, I know what powerhouse vocals sound like. I love Christina, Mariah [okay, I'm not a fan of her personally, but I know she has skills] Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, even Nicole. I know BoA can't compare to their vocal prowess. And, it isn't exactly fair to compare them to someone of their caliber, however, if you set BoA next to Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Rhianna or GaGa, you will notice that yes, she has an uncommon voice [all a matter of preference, some people don't like Britney because she gets a little nasally like BoA too.], dancing skills, and a huge amount of stage charisma.


BoA? Mediocre? Compared to Charice? Agnes Monica? In looks? ...Where?
Yes, I know they have incredible vocal talent, but, there is more to "making it big", especially in the U.S. [And to be quite honest, I've never heard of Agnes Monica, and I only know Charice because this forum and my older sister watches Glee (she doesn't like Charice either, k.)] What sets BoA apart is versatility. She can [and on various occassions has] pulled off various different genres, dance styles, concepts -- the whole package. She is a performer - not just singer or dancer - she does both. Some people say GaGa sings and dances well, personally, I'm a little offended that they think basically stomp-walking in heels is 'difficult'/'choreography' if I compare her to the performances I've seen BoA pull off.

No, BoA can't flawlessly belt out tunes to you; but, yes, BoA can get on a stage and "Wow" you unlike some other performers in this industry. Honestly, just because she isn't primarily focused on ballad-singing, don't be fooled into believing she can't hold a decent note, BoA does have a voice.

this is my comment....i agreed to some people said that BoA not great as...american singers like  Whitney Houston, Celine Dion....but i want to emphasis that...there are other singers that can sing clearly when hv dancing like BoA???...no right???..mostly will look tired and cannot sing anymore in the middle or the ending of performance....this is make BoA is UNIQUE and DIFFERENT!!!!!!!!!!
one more thing....i want to tell that...even BoA already told that she is SINGER DANCER....so mean that...she focus in dancing lol...
but u guys also can watch some performance that BoA can sing in great way....
sooo... if people dont like it....leave it....they are still a lot of people admire BoA....like me....
some singer can popular not only becoz of their high power voice...but also becoz of certain point....and that certain point only can notice by their fans.....

It's just an opinion of a random blog, and from a non-objectif person.

BoA hasn't the most powerful or beautiful voice on the earth, isn't perfect every time and you can hate her or her voice... but she definitely can sing.


Example of people who are bad singers: Matsumoto Jun/Yamashita Tomohisa, many kpop idols...

After reading what the blogger had said, I feel this person is just trying to stir up something. I don't even feel like listing out why BoA is not what this person has said because it would be a waste of my time. Moving on.

It's just a blog post, I wouldn't get upset over it. Anyone can start a blog and write entries about anything they want.

I did get a few chuckles reading it though. Stuff like "Okay, I'll just list her Korean debut album and call it a day! That's all about her bios, tada!" (You know, as if BoA didn't release 14 studio albums and sang HUNDREDS of songs) It's quite obvious that the blogger knows VERY little of BoA so I wouldn't take what s/he wrote to heart.

The fact that the blogger thinks BoA is mediocre says a lot, that s/he knows squat.

But then I saw the blog. Like 90% of the entries are about Agnes Monica (which I have no idea who she is). So it seems like she's just being an Agnes die-heart fan trying to make her idol look better by making other successful and accomplished artists look bad. You know, like "BoA can't even be compared to Agnes Monica!", which I suspect was the entire point of that entry.
