At the young age of 14, BoA Kwon made her way to Japan with little companionship and the idea that she could, perhaps, make a hit or two in a foreign country then that of her homeland of South Korea.
When her first single debuted on May 30, 2001, I don't think anyone, not even BoA her self, could imagine the possibility that this young girl would go on to release 30+ singles and 7 albums in just her first decade in the land of the rising sun.
So this day marks the tenth anniversary of the young girl that brought Japan and South Korea "together", displaying pride for both countries achievements and supporting each of their struggles.

YAY BOA!!! You're amazing and if not for you I would've never been so engaged with dancing. Because of you, BoA, I have a peerless love for dance and your songs have either made me rock out and have a total blast or sing my heart out with vocals untrained. You're an amazing person in general and I cannot wait to see what the next coming years hold.

Though I'm a bit disappointed w/ the special content,, but I'm happy cz we could trend #BoA10thyearsJP and BoA tweeted it too...

And my favorite BoA's JP songs are Merikuri and Smile Again...
I had a hard moment in the past. Then I listened to them...
Firstly I just loved the songs...
But after knowing the translation,, I became more than loving them...

My favorite all time BoA song is ID Peace B, but the korean version ...so for the japanese version, I guess my significant song is Shine We Are! because it's the first one I heard from her xD I would have never discovered BoA if I didn't accidentaly download one of her songs on Kazaa way back then ...because some of my friends used to tell me about her and BoA's name reminded me too much for a snake and it gave me the image of some asian girl that's undecent and only out there to make money xD

So Shine We Are! it is! BoA rules!

Man~ I can't believe it's 10 years already
To me, my most favorite JP of all time is Meri Kuri! The first winter I listened to the song in 2004, it was a very sad winter for me, then that song just like a lullaby soothing my heart. I cried. ( I know it's cheesy )
