Teddy Riley, who recently produced SNSD‘s “The Boys“, recently revealed on Twitter that he’d like to work with solo singer BoA.

The producer tweeted, “I really wanna work with her… Its my dream to work with BoA.” Teddy Riley was responding to a tweet made by an SM Entertainment employee, who said that the company’s artists had arrived in Vancouver, Canada.

Is this a hint, or a possibility? Considering how Teddy Riley has worked with SM already, there’s a chance that he could link up with BoA for her next Korean album.

o___o;; not sure how I feel about this. Most of you guys know that he is a famous American producer who has recently produced a song for SNSD right? It's gotten mixed reviews lol.. Thoughts?

I am a jumping BoA and a S♥NE and I dont think id like it if Teddy worked with BoA.. The boys is different definitely from their old songs , I ilke it but its  just .. I feel quite disappointed as the song felt incomplete after such a long comeback? Teddy Riley is just okay in my eyes i think he has some ..issues.. , i prefer he stay in America and do his songs, and do NOT work with BoA. Honestly who is he kidding? His dream? ._. He got into working with SM a month ago, hes kissing some major ass right now to get more money lol.

I'm kind of partial because yeah, he is a famous producer, but we all know how the last one ended up, trying to feature himself as much as possible in subpar songs.. (Sean Garret anyone?). However, if the song is decent, then it could help BoA. I agree with above ^, the song wasn't that bad, it was just the chorus that bothered me >_> And I did like the songs he produced for Rania. I really don't like him because of his personality though; he works with Rania and goes, "THEY'RE SO TALENTED, I BACK THEM 100% HARHAR" and then ditches them when they aren't selling well for SNSD. He just seems like a very greedy person /:

LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLL What's funny is I saw his original answer to the person who tweeted him. He did NOT say that it was his "dream." Originally, he wrote something along the lines of "yes, in a heartbeat" in response to the question, which was about whether or not he would produce an album for BoA. Now I look at his Twitter, and the original tweet is now replaced with the "IT'S MY DREAM..." stuff. lololll So this entire "dream" thing is BS...
I can see him wanting to work with her ONLY because she is in SM, and he's currently 100% in support of SM. He used to call WG failures, and I don't believe BoA did any better than them (she released an album, but it did not gain her much attention), so it seems that whatever "dream" he has is a result of her ties with SM, not her identity as an artist.'

As a producer, though, he is not bad. I hate "The Boys," but I really liked his song for Rania. Plus, BoA can use some more variety. "Dangerous" off her last album sounded exactly like a f(x) song because SM recycles producers and composers.

Wouldn't it make more sense if BoA worked with this dude for her next American album instead.

Seriously I'm looking at it on a long-term perspective, BoA should try to get an American single out by the time COBU 3D releases. Just sayin'. Teddy Riley has written and produced great songs for Lady Gaga and Britney Spears. Woops cross that out, I just checked his discogs, he did a Lady Gaga song but never a Britney song (he did that Bobby Brown song that Britney covered).

I'm going to facepalm if SM doesn't take the Hollywood film release to its full advantages, her exposure would greatly help establishing BoA's American music career.

Teddy Riley and Danja, plus Brian Kennedy, for BoA American album? That would be awesome.

LOL I had just said something about wanting this to happen on the other thread too wtf o-0

I think working with him would be really good for her. Hes a freaking great producer. I liked the beat of dr feel good ,as I do all songs composed by him by the choreo was belch. toooo sexual for me >.>

I think it would probably be best for her to work with him. didn't he work with micheal?

Im sorry, but Id love to see BoA going sexy and sing something like Dr. Feel Good. I srsly dont know why most of her fans wouldnt like to see that way (just remember that awesome photoshoot back in 2008/09 for her american debut and how it ended and we got what we got).

I dislike the boys mostly because of snsds terrible, imo, voices and that awful rap. With better lyrics and vocals would be a good song, even enjoyable.

I wanna see risking in her career, new things. New image, new hair, more/less piercings, going sexy, wet, hot, wanna see her doing more jazzy songs, anything new. The woman just did everything to stablish herself as a world star, at least an asian world start. You may not like her, but u know her. So, let her do anything different, for god sake!

Work with him on an American album track yes, for a Korean album BoA should just stick to Korean producers. I feel that a lot of Korean producers are getting shut out by these Western producers SM is hiring, which means K-pop is getting even more unoriginal by hiring foreigners to do their thang. Next thing you know every K-pop album will be produced by some American producer.

I don't feel comfortable with Teddy Riley working on a single or lead song for BoA, he hasn't exactly had an American hit since the 90's. But an album track would be a nice try.

I wish SM would learn their lesson !!! Get rid of this useless/trash/talentless/ producer @___@
And for those who don't like The Boys.... We (SNSD fans) love the boys not because it's a great song which was composed by a great producer...we love The Boys because SNSD makes it great .... They make a really really bad song become a good song !!!

This article is #5 hot topic in allkpop. First time seeing BoA face in that section.

Ok. I have not listened to any Teddy Riley works except for SNSD "The Boys". Honestly, I think the beat was average but they lyrics and the chorus just doesn't match at all. Can't comment much coz I only listened to 1 song so far.

IF SM really lets Teddy take part in one of BoA album, I hope that it is an American album and not Korean album. For Korean album, let the composer for "M.E.P" and "Nelly" to take part in it. Both of them together can make "original korean songs" not like the current Korean music industry, all are Americanize. I missed those "oldies" song very much. I just hope that BoA keeps creating new and fresh genre of music and not just following mainstream korean music.

SM, please don't autotune BoA beautiful voice again... -_-

Teddy recently worked with SM Entertainment to produce SNSD’s comeback song, “The Boys“, so it’s not exactly far-fetched to say that he may work with BoA as well. Would you like for Teddy to produce BoA’s next Korean album?

well ok there is a fine line between sexy and sluty. My Name was sexy Dr. feel good was rather sluty . and THAT'S what fans don't want her doing. Hell we loved her my name era.

IDK about risking her career either. Would you want to work for 10+ years to establish yourself and then risk throwing it all away?I sure wouldn't Not that anything you listed could ACTUALY destroy her career lol but still

P.S uhm what do you mean by ...Wet? o-O LOL

^ I know Teddy only compose the music and not the lyrics but I just had to say that the chorus music and lyrics don't really match well. =/ I don't know much about Teddy but when I read comments at AKP, all of them said that he just wanted more money and have a bad attitude. Don't know how true it is since I don't follow up on Teddy.

Honestly, I love "The Boys". The only part I don't like about it is the chorus, but that's only because the song felt like it was building up to a more explosive chorus. If they had just used that intro as the chorus, it probably would've been better. As for Teddy Riley, he's a real jerk, but he's a great producer. I mean, the guy did tons of work for Michael Jackson! I think if he and BoA got together, they would make some great music.
