Ummm...chill out?
Showing concern for your beloved idol? How are you showing concern for BoA when you say 'SNSD on David Letterman - A Big Insult to BoA'. It looks to me like some fans are unhappy because SNSD is having more success in the US. Have you ever considered that SM might be doing better this time around because they learned from their mistakes in the past? And as MOTOWAY said, SNSD is the biggest thing in Asia right now so naturally more people would be interested in them. Yeah, you might be concerned for your idol, but when you come off as a jealous twit or an ass it isn't exactly a good look.
An insult to BoA from SM not SNSD.
BoA fans are not the only one shocked with this news either. If you go around the net many people were saying err why didn't SM do this with boA instead or why didn't YG get Se7en to do the same thing.
Our frustration with SM and Avex Trax dates back to 2008, the whole fan base has always criticized SM and Avex for basically leaving BoA in the side nowadays. It also plays a big part as to why BoA's fan base is declining so much.
We've also known from the very start that if BoA were to debut in the US she should've signed with universal (at the time BoA's music videos were "supported" by Universal Studios, but she wasn't actually signed with them),
Also SNSD are not having more success in the USA. BoA had a Dance Chart topper, The Boys haven't charted in Billboard at all. In fact out of all the South Korean artists BoA was the only one that got close to doing well, but it was ruined by terrible promotion. BoA had a complete album out, was actually releasing singles with music videos, etc. Not like Wonder Girls or SNSD who are just releasing maxi singles...
We are not talking about success here, we are talking about promotions. You can have as many promtoions but still be a failure. In BoA's case, she never got any promotions, it was doomed for failure.
In this case SNSD is having a lot more promotions than BoA ever did, which to us fans is frustrating because it meant BoA spent the whole damn time, money and effort to record an album and music videos without any promotions. We're not jealous at SNSD, we are frustrated with SM with the way they have handled BoA's career these past years.
The 10th Japanese anniversary has been a disaster so far... Milestone dropped out of the top 20 after charting for a week at #5 with 5,000 sales (the average sales for DVD singles is around 15,000). You know who else sells 5,00 copies? Crystal Kay, and it got so bad she had to switch to Universal Studios...
I'm not even going to start with the IDENTITY album, people in Japan didn't even know BoA was releasing an album, that is how bad it was. I'm no longer surprised either that BoA doesn't hold arena tours in Japan anymore...
