
Planning for the production of Season 2 of SBS audition program, "K-Pop Star" has begun.
According to an SBS official on March 30th, the "Survival audition 'K-Pop Star' Season 2" will have its first episode broadcasting in November. He adds that "the representative judges for SM, JYP, and YG's BoA, Park Jinyoung (JYP), and Yang Hyunsuk will also be maintained."
"The three judges have built success on Season 1, and are showing motivation to produce an an upgraded Season 2. Season 2 of 'K-Pop Star' will continue to maintain its unique, stylish, and high-quality show to become one of the best programs of South Korea."
Currently, "K-Pop Star" is live broadcasting and has 6 contestants remaining. Season 1 began airing last December and has uncovered a large amount of unknown talents since then. The probing of each of the 3 judges have shown a completely different evaluation of participants from other audition programs. Performers have even sung hit topping tracks that have proven popular among viewers as well.
Winner of "K-Pop Star" will have the chance to sign immediately with one of South Korea's Top 3 agencies, SM, YG, and JYP.
The first episode of "K-Pop Star" Season 2 will begin airing in November. The show will continue accepting applicants until mid-May.
