16 Year-old BoA was Very Sick, Even Losing 10kg in a Week, Her Mom Said

BoA's hardships in Japan were shortly revealed.

BoA's mother appeared on SBS 'Midnight TV Entertainment' today and shared an episode of her dutiful daughter.

Sung Young-ja, BoA's mother shared, "I received carnation this morning for parents' day. BoA said, 'I am doing my duty as a daughter, right?' What kind of special gift shall I buy for you today?”

BoA has been apart from her parents at a young age to promote her album in Japan. Her mother said, "BoA was only 16 years old. She received hospital treatment for a week because of stress. She lost 10kg within a week. I cried so much when I heard about that.”

BoA’s mother continued, "There must have been so many things she experienced at a young age being away from her parents in Japan."

Towards her daughter she mentioned, "I am already thankful to her for considerations for me. We get along with each other very well."

That's so sad.  It must be so stressful for her to be in another country away from all her family and friends, and working so hard. I can't even imagine that.

The path to fame & success is never too smooth & easy. I'm proud of BoA for all of what she has done to be where she's at today. At least her effort and hard work didn't go wasted

Wow and she has a very slender figure already. o.0 She's lovely and I hope she don't overwork herself too much these days.

but still.. losing 22 lbs in a week is still too much, she must have been extremely sick then (depressed, stressed, anxious about something or vomiting, etc) poor BoA..
