You know what, maybe because I'm older already so I don't feel much about this whole thing of sales anymore. I feel like so many people forgetting how long BoA has been in this cruel business and still think of her as if some hot chick just made debut 3 years ago - it's a good sign, I guess, that she's still doing good.
But to me, if tomorrow BoA pronounce a retirement, I'll be very sad but I'll not be surprised a tiny bit. I guess I already accept the fact that she is not a rising star anymore, she's not a superstar anymore, but a Star.

I know VERY well that BoA isn't a hot chick which debuted 3 years ago but BoA is still very young for retirement I think.
I would like to see BoA stable as Namie Amuro. For exemple. She debuted like 17 years ago and still is a Japanese Superstar at the age of 34. BoA is only 25, I think it's too early to pronounce retirement or something like that. Would be nice if she release something commercial and after her popularity pump up back, she start putting her soul back to her music. I know... making her own music is very important for her but as you said she have to make some sacrifices if she still wants to be a singer at age 40
She can't make music if she don't have any money. (I think...)

Okay...I suspect that everyone has a unique opinion on this matter, but at heart, we all feel that BoA deserves more. She's worked so hard on her music. The quality of her last two Korean albums, and her last Japanese album was amazing. However, the reality is that if her company perceives her sales as declining, then she might be compelled to produce less music. This will be very sad for me. I personally wish that her fanbase will grow so that BoA can have the freedom to flex her artistic muscles.
Doing dramas might be a good way to branch out and garner more fans. My hope is that COBU will bring her more fans, and excite her existing fanbase.

I think BoA should stay focused on music and continue to nurture her skills in composition and better her singing. Kpop Star is definitely inspiring her. "Only One" wasn't ground breaking but it's definitely catchy and easy to listen to. This time around I believe she did gain more fans during her promotions, it's obvious through "Only One" sales and the number of positive views and comments on her music video, so she's doing something right. If her releases keep getting better maybe more fans will hop on the bandwagon. You can't deny good music. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing BoA's next composition. :)

Yeah, you are right, you are older already and so am I. And I personally am not bothered about BoA's physical sales since a long time. I'm just glad to know that she is improving as an artist, vocally plus her song writing skills etc... plus I can't wait for Cobu 3D of course:)!!
