Is it just me or does anyone else prefer BoA's live performances over studio ones? =P She's just that good!

I think every one always enjoys BoA in live performances better than the studio one, not only we see her dance but also see her emotion/expression when she sings, it's priceless

I agree I totally can't get enough of her recent live performances. Even when it isn't her promotion period, I always watched back her past performances (Japanese ones thou.) But sadly, many have commented that her "Only One" performance starting from M!Countdown are lipsync... I don't think she lipsync but it looks too perfect to be true ^^

Nevertheless, all of us knows very well that she could sing live and dance effortlessly.

I really LOVE her Lve performances she just got it all ^-^

But for her Only one performances, i think the first 2 or 3 i'm not sure were lipsync, but i don't care. maybe she just wanted to show us her awesome moves with all she got^^ but her last 3 were definitely live and i personally think they are much better than lipsynced ones

Is it true boA said that? That she will always lipsync her Only one performances? I read another interview of hers but it says different that she will prepare two types of performances and such. Is this another FAIL in terms of translating from Allkpop AGAIN?

Allkpop sure knows how to bring out the haters. Got ppl arguing about her being a singer or a dancer. I think we all agree BoA is Boss at dancing n singing live. She's alrdy proven herself more than any of these idols these days. Ppl are delusional...

I don't know exactly where or when BoA said that, but it wouldn't surprise me if she did & I wouldn't get upset. Because she was being honest about a fact. I would rather she being honest than stating some excuses like a lot of people would do.
Like Sung Si Kyung said, BoA is NOT a robot, she can't do it all. The choreography in 'Only One' so there's nothing wrong with sacrifice the live singing for it. If you just want to listen to the singing only, buy the cd & play it on your audio system.
People who criticized her for that are just haters. If they think they can do that dance & sing live, do it, prove it that it's not impossible. Any one can talk sh*t, but if they don't do sh*t then their opinions don't matter
Plus, BoA is a veteran, she has been proving her vocal for 12 years. Any one who says she can't sing can kiss by butt

So, I will keep enjoying her lip-synced singing but awesome live dancing every day.

Radio show host Sung Sikyung defends BoA in her lip sync controversy

Radio host Sung Sikyung recently defended BoA on her lip syncing controversy on his radio show “Blue Night with Sung Sikyung.”

On the August 3 episode of “Blue Night with Sung Sikyung,” Sung Sikyung showed his support for BoA by stating, “Recently everyone has been criticizing BoA for lip syncing her performance, but BoA isn’t a robot.”

The lip syncing that Sung Sikyung was referring to was BoA’s performance of “Only One” on the July 22 episode of SBS’s Inkigayo. It was revealed that BoA had lip synced the entire performance, which caused some controversy.

When asked why she had lip synced the performance, BoA explained, “The choreography for ‘Only One’ makes it difficult to sing live at the same time. As a result, my promotions will focus more heavily on stage presentation.”

Agreeing with BoA’s explanation, Sung Sikyung also stated on his show that when an artist such as BoA wants to present such a wonderful yet challenging choreography, lip syncing should be allowed.

Furthermore, Sung Sikyung also said, “We already know that BoA has a great voice, so we shouldn’t put such high demands on her.” In addition, to end his strong opinion on a lighter note, Sung Sikyung jokingly remarked, “BoA should get number one soon, Psy hyung is just too popular!”

^ I'm pretty sure Allkpop just wanted to publish the same article and so they paraphrased everything. And the writer must have tried hard to find other words to use and so came up with what they published. lol.

This is why i always read Koreaboo's articles first before going to allkpop watching all the drama happening in the comments section.
Seriously, people are arguing about her being a dancer or a singer, it's ridiculous. -.- Seeing all those comments made so furious early in the morning.

Isn't her performance with Hyukjae live, though?
I'm not sure which one was it, but I think it was the first Only One performance on M! Countdown.
I remember watching it for the first time and being so amazed.
I already know what a great performer BoA is,
but hearing her sing perfectly while doing that complicated choreography was just mind-blowing.
