I have to say that i listen to alot of asian music now then i did lets say about 5 years ago , and i also have to say that i dont always understand what they say so when i hear some of my fav artists singing in some english i tend to really listen but i might as well be listening to themm just in there own language and not understand because there english lyrics make nooooo sense. BUt what can ya do  i'll always luv them anyway.

but so it doent seem like i'm being mean i'll just name the king of horrible lyrics at least in my mind and also i cant really think of anyone else right now but i'll just post those later.

i know im gonna get hit for saying this but alot of her lyrics on her english album were kinda weird except Exodus About me and devil inside.

^ Yeah I'm a pretty big fan of Utada but her English album was just ....... ' I thought 'You make me want to be a man' was a bit weird.. didn't get half of it. The lyrics were mass confusion.

I read somewhere that there's actual meaning behind those lyrics...
historical meaning I think... but that may have been a load of crap. : )

How can you not like Hikaru's english album lyrics? O__o; would you rather have her sing about hoes, or plain old sex on the dance floor. One of her songs is about sex or dancing but it actually manages to get some good lyrics in there. I still can't believe you all don't like the lyrics. Most of the lyrics are metaphorical, and beautiful. Kremlin Dusk alone has so many different levels of interpretation, and the album is genius (Yes I said it , and I'll say it again the album is genius.)
My favorite lyrics from there are

- Hotel Lobby
- Let Me Give You My Love

Easy Breezy, does have historical meaning because of the stereotypes given to Japanese women.
You Make Me Want to Be aMan is about her wanting to be a man so that she could understand how a man acts. She can't fathom how or why he would act ina  certain way and the boundaries of gender prevent this
