/yet another jwu poll.  except this time, it's about something that happened today.

So, I'm at the new IKEA in West Sac.  I'm standing in line at the little restaurant/cafe on the 2nd floor (a very long line I might add) when all of a sudden, this fat nutritionally challenged woman in front of me turns around, gives me a piercing look, and yells, 'Step back!  You're too close.'  Now I'm keeping the normal amount of distance, i.e., the same amount everybody else in line is giving. And at this point, I was behind her for about 5 minutes already. So, I look around and everyone is looking at that woman as if she was crazy (she probably is a little mentally disturbed), some are shaking their heads.

So, what would you do?  You can scroll up and vote now. :]

I pretended I didn't speak English.  Well to be more precise, I smiled and pretended I was Japanese, a non-Asian's stereotypical view of a Japanese man that is, with the whole over-exaggerated bowing and HAI! HAI! HAI! things.

Her reaction: she turns away as if nothing happened.  I then have a very good laugh (at the woman's expense) with the people behind me in line.
-----
OOC:  West Sac's IKEA is nice.  But I like the organization of the one in Schaumburg (Illinois) more.

I'd say something, and it would be along the lines of "could you repeat yourself?" since I'm hard of hearing. And when I finally understood her I'd just keep repeating it, because eventually people get tired of repeating themselves.

I would've gotten physical but uh...can't beat a nutritionally challenged lady..lmao

Nah, I would yell back, especially if I didn't do anything wrong, but then again, I've caused alot of fights that way...lmao probably say something like "You pickin on me cuz I'm Asian?!" xD

I'd stare at them at lot like this "o_O" then say, "Learn some manners and say please." then step back anyways >> people are so rude these days all ready- don't need to get them pissy at me.

Mmm fat lady you say?

I'd smile and oblige to her request.

If this happened on the battle field (hockey rink, soccer field, etc.) I'd smile and take a step forward. ;)

well if she asked nicely and said please i wouldn't mind stepping back. But since she didn't i would probably just ignore her and give her the same distance as everyone else....

I normally laugh in the person's face in this sort of situation.  It's fun to watch people get mad over nothing.  :)

Am I one of the few people with common sense here? Lol, jk. :x
