As BoA has been busy with her duties in both South Korea and Japan, the abundance of BoA-related news has dwindled over the past few months.  

However, Countdown TV conducted their annual "Be My Lover" ranking and BoA's name graced the chart.

With foreign fans constantly fanning the flames by claiming BoA's Japanese career is waning, just how well did she fare against this year's stiff competition?

Landing at the #5 position, BoA bested artists such as Ueto Aya, Leah Dizon, and ayaka, all of who are enjoying a red-hot 2007.  

While BoA's name may not be flashing throughout the headlines in Japan, she has definitely left a lasting impression in the hearts of Music Lovers across the nation.

Countdown TV is a weekly ranking-based music show aired late on Saturday nights out of Tokyo via TBS.

I'm glad to see BoA still in the top 5, and I'm a little bit surprised that she even surpassed Koda Kumi in this poll.  Half of this year has not been great for BoA's career in Japan, but this ranking says that  BoA is still well-loved in Japan.
