yeah me too. i listen to all of the other mainstream stuff too and i enjoy it still but with Utada Hikaru I have a special appreciation for her material. It has a different feel to it compared to others and she definitely deserves her own genre. lol. she's just kick*** like that.
have you guys heard of jyongri? anyways, shes a jpop artist/songwriter that people compared to Utada HIkaru since she's a song writer and spent some time at Stanford University's music program in the U.S. Personally i dont see any connection. its kinda like how they compare utada as the britney spears of japan. silly people and all their labeling. can't she just be UTADA HIKARU.
