There has been quite some, should I say, negative...not so happy things being said about BoA lately. Such as how she looks old now, she should retire, she isnt popular as much anymore, her songs are lacking....and so on. However, I, as a newer BoA fan, think that she is still beautiful and talented as ever. She, to me is among some of the best artists in the world. Sure her voice isnt the Best, but she has a unique voice which makes her...her. Id rather listen to a unique voice that I can distinguish than listen to someone who sounds good but sounds like every other voice. I listen to some jpop, dont understand japanese, but I thought to myself..she makes the japanese language sound so good. Her milestone xmas live perf, omg sounds so angelic. Also, her voice has gotten more mature to me. I love the way she sang winter love in 2009 compared to like 2005 or 06.
Besides this, her dance is just awesome. Im not into these cutesy little cheerleader moves that a lot of kpop girls are doing. I mean, since their dance requires little small movements, at least have a powerful voice. But BoA, she got powerful dance and voice. Not even popular american artists can dance and pull off a good singing perf much. There was an interview with Lisette Bustamante (i think), the choreographer, in her Eien mv behind the scene, where she says BoA can dance and learn so fast and that BoA can hang with the usher and Justin T and omarion...something like that. So theres no doubt of BoA as a performer. The girl can dance her ass off and sing at the same time so flawlessly. We all know that! Even if some ppl might not think so, but her performances during her 2010 korean comeback was badass and her "my name" performances example, smtown la were still "sexy". I wish I can dance like that. BoAs got sexy swag.
She does not look old period. Ppl shouldnt expect her to look like when she was 18. Ppl are to used to seeing her as a cute young girl. I dont know how ppl say she looks 30 or 40..i mean really? Smh..Shes gorgeous, wish I can look like her and if I was a guy, I wouldnt hesitate to date her lol. And no, BoA doesnt need to look slutty showing skin to be sexy and popular. Im sure thats what fanboys these days like.
Even if she is not as popular as before, ppl are missing out on real true talent. All these new younger generation fans are missing out. I even feel like I missed out on all her hype during her peek cus I didnt know her and didnt listen to kpop. However, she is a role model to a lot of kpop idols so of course she has to stay classy and be a respectable senior. But I bet inside, she still is a silly young girl . But if she were to come out again with better promos like in US, I believe she can attract a lot of new fans. But she has done a lot already. BoA, whenever u are ready. I'll be waiting for Cobu3d.
So, as a newer member to Boajjang and a recent BoA fan, I just wanted to compliment her greatness and say "I love BoA!" Im glad she is such a positive person with so much charisma. On a side note, I love Possibilty and Eien, her more recent songs from the newer BoA who was slowly losing popularity, because these 2 songs got me hooked. And she is still popular as ever to me.
