i was wondering how to add subtitle into a video..i downloaded vobsub but have no idea how to use it

can anyone who know help me...

You want to watch the video with sub, or u want to add the sub permanently into the video?

actually i don't really understand w/ the question

1. are you trying to watch Video w/ External Sub?

or

2. You want to make a Video w/ your SUB Creation? like BoaJjang release or Kuraki Fans???

damit how to permanently add subtitle to video so u combined the subs u dled and the movie in foreign language coz i donwlaoded appleseed with no subs and it japanese audio
and i dled subs and copudlnt figure how to put subs PERMANENTLY onto movie .. i only got the ones that lets u see subs with movie on .. like those editors but i didnt see button for permanenet sub on movie so i deleted the movies and startin to dl appleseed with eng subs with bit torrent but it so slow! lol onyl 12pct done in few days..altho i only let it dl for 3-4hours in total coz i dont like bit torrent slowin my com down all the time

do you mean like sub something or encode subs with the video? if you want to learn how to make subs just dl subtitle workshop and to encode the subs with the video someone listed the program in the posts above

I use virtualdub with subtitler filter to add sub permanently onto video~

If your just watching just use bsplayer, subtitles would show up. If you want to encode the subs in a video you need VirtualDub with the Sub filter and might need a video encoding program like Dr. DivX to encode it again, sometimes I have to because VirtualDub messes up the sync time.

ill explain everything since im part of the subtitling team.

1.have a subbed file (.ssa, .ass, .str ect)
2.have the video
3.get virtualdub (vdub)
4.get the textsub plugin for virtuadub
5.use xvid not divx cuz it suks

now here how to make the file
1.open vdub and load the video
2.go to the "Video" menu(vdub) and select filters
3.in filters load textsub(Add...)
4.press ok, then go to Compression(video menu)
5.select xvid( use www.doom9.org to learn how to setup your xvid settings)
6.now go to the "File" menu and select "Save"
7.now wait untill the video is finish.
